Some places just need the right atmosphere. ✨ At the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri on Spain’s Costa de la Luz, light is an essential part of the guest experience. Surrounded by tropical gardens, wide pool areas and striking architecture, the 5-star resort required a lighting concept that could adapt to very different areas while preserving the hotel’s calm, elegant character. Together with Spanish integrator Evel Eventos, a flexible Cameo setup was realised across the resort. ZENIT® W300 outdoor wash lights enhance the main façade with powerful and even illumination, highlighting the architectural character of the building. PIXBAR® 400 IP G2 LED bars give the hotel additional creative flexibility for corporate events, seasonal looks and special occasions. For the gardens and pool areas, DURA SPOT® 60 RGBW spots were used to accentuate vegetation, pathways and architectural details. What happens when a classic opera figure is deliberately removed from the story? 🤔 In Don Juan no existe, composer Helena Cánovas reinterprets one of opera history’s most iconic characters through a contemporary, minimalist production. At the Real Fábrica de Artillería in Seville, light became a key dramatic tool: guiding perspectives, defining spaces and supporting a visual language built around clear lines, cool tones and precise focus. ✨ For this approach, Antonio Gutiérrez, Production Manager and Lighting Designer at Soniluc Producciones, relied on Cameo AZOR® SP2 profile moving heads to create clear light edges, defined stage zones and focused cuts on characters and spaces. “We were very impressed by the optical quality and the shutter system that ensure clear light edges on the stage,” says Antonio Gutiérrez. Supporting the next generation of Lumen Beings.💡 Last week, Cameo visited MmBbS Hannover for a dedicated Cameo Day with students in their second year of training. The goal was to bring professional lighting technology closer to young people who are just starting to shape their path in the event industry – not only through theory, but through practical insight and direct exchange. Throughout the day, the students connected technical fundamentals with real applications and explored how light, control, colour and movement can influence stages, venues and event spaces. For us, this kind of educational format is highly valuable: it creates curiosity, builds confidence and shows how much creative potential lies within technical knowledge. Supporting future lighting professionals means sharing expertise early, answering questions openly and making technology tangible. Dubai Global Village is impressive by day – but after sunset, light becomes a key part of the visitor experience. ✨ Each season, more than 6 million visitors come together across one of the largest leisure and event destinations in the Middle East to experience culture, entertainment, dining and large-scale visual moments. One of the highlights is a five-minute light show in the centre of the outdoor area, taking place several times a day around an approximately 29-metre-high tower. To illuminate the tower and the surrounding pavilions, system integrator Oasis Enterprises LLC relied on an extensive Cameo setup with PIXBAR® SMD IP G2 LED bars and ORON® H2 beam moving heads. More than 280 PIXBAR® SMD IP G2 fixtures were mounted vertically along the full height of the tower, turning the architecture into a dynamic visual element with colour, structure and sparkling effects. For lighting designers and operators, this is exactly where pixel-based LED bars can show their strength: they do not just add brightness but help define movement, rhythm and visual identity within a show. Positioned on the surrounding pavilion rooftops, the ORON® H2 units extended the design beyond the tower with powerful sky beams visible from near and far – giving the light show an impressive presence even outside the central area. 🔥 “The PIXBARs were the key creative element of our lighting design,” says Richard Burton, Entertainment & Themed Environment Manager at Oasis Enterprises LLC.
