The guide covers supplier landscape, stakeholder identification, evaluation framework, and supplier selection, making it highly customizable and applicable to various industries. The World Economic Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and GEP has developed a manual on responsible AI procurement in commercial businesses. The manual combines AI and procurement knowledge to create standardized rules that can be easily used across enterprises and industries. It helps stakeholders achieve their AI goals and buy AI-driven solutions, enabling business teams to meet goals faster, procurement teams to create RFPs, data teams to protect organizational interests, and AI-solution providers to better understand enterprise AI project expectations and align their proposals with emerging AI procurement standards. 📌 Companies must prioritize AI adoption, align it with their technology and data strategy, and ensure solution adaptability. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for AI solutions should incorporate retraining and concept drift costs and a longer term. 📌 Organizations should consider delinking discovery and execution phases, implementing the solution in phases and gradually widening to avoid large upfront costs, using outcome-based pricing structures and strong governance. 📌 A solid data strategy is essential for AI deployment, requiring organizations to prepare input datasets, ensure data relevance and accessibility, and examine their future data strategy, including data platforms, scalable pipelines, and centralized data governance. When I transferred into Ivy College of Business my second semester, I knew from my first day of 301 that you were going to have a big impact on my journey through Iowa State, but I misjudged how significant it would be.
The case competition teams were invaluable. Its a competitive and creative outlet that develops students confidence not only when speaking in intimidating situations, but also performing analysis in uncharted territory. If it weren’t for you and all of your mentors and their years of experience analyzing what works in those board rooms, I wouldn’t have landed the career I did.

Zachary Eaves reacted on thisI (almost) got scammed recently. And for someone who works in tech, I genuinely thought I was better than that. It wasn’t the usual IRS, USPS, or “your package is stuck” spam. It came as a text, from someone I work with but not so closely. Not close enough for me to have her number, but close enough that an urgent message at 7 a.m. felt believable. That’s what made me “scammable” It was the perfect mix of familiarity + urgency at a time of day when you’re awake but not fully alert. For a moment, I genuinely thought she needed help. After a few messages, suddenly it hit me - I am being scammed!! Even though I was 99% sure of this being a spam, there was a tiny voice in me that said, what if she really needed my help. So I called the number, which as expected- failed. After that, I wasn’t a victim; I was an observer- watching. I asked the scammer to call me, and out of curiosity, continued chatting- for a while. For my team’s security, I sent a slack message notifying of the scam that was happening live. But, it left me thinking about something more interesting than the scam itself: How did they get the psychology so right? And is there a gender lens here? -Are women targeted more through women-to-women impersonation because it feels safer and more believable? -Do scammers intentionally choose early-morning windows when mental load is high and alertness is low? -Are they tapping into the expectation that women respond faster to requests for help? I don’t have the research to confirm it. But the questions are important, especially when we talk about safety, digital behavior, and the kind of vulnerabilities that don’t show up in technical audits. And the irony still makes me laugh: Someone who spends her days thinking about systems, risks, and safeguards… nearly walked into a scam before her first cup of coffee.

Click here to view.” You click it, and a login pop-up appears asking you to sign in with Microsoft or Google. It looks exactly like the real login page URL, lock icon, the whole thing. You enter your username, password, and even your 2FA code. And hackers just got full access to your account. This trick is called Browser-in-the-Browser (BitB). It’s sneaky because it’s a fake pop-up inside your real browser, so most people can’t tell it’s fake. Tip to stay safe: • Don’t click login links from emails or random sites. • Try dragging the login pop-up real ones can move outside the tab, fake ones can’t. • Always double-check the website URL before entering credentials. The story is always the same: We’re spending millions on AI, but our numbers aren’t moving the way we expected. Here's the truth: AI doesn’t fix stupid. It magnifies it. Case in point: I spoke to a $200M healthcare CEO who couldn’t figure out why $3M on AI tools didn’t move the needle—because they were automating a billing process that was already broken. You can’t bolt a Ferrari engine onto a car with no wheels and expect it to go anywhere. I see it over and over in the enterprises I advise: Company A spends $5M on chatbots—customer satisfaction drops 40%. Company B uses AI to help their best people find leads—revenue jumps 35%. What’s the difference? Company B empowered their winners. Company A tried to replace their losers. Out of 10 companies I’ve worked with, 8 failed spectacularly at “AI transformation”—burning hundreds of millions—because they were trying to automate chaos. Only 2 succeeded, and only after fixing broken processes first, then adding AI where it could actually help. Here’s the brutal reality: Fix your broken stuff manually before you try to automate. Use AI to make your best teams better—not to salvage the bottom 20%. If customers hate your AI, kill it. That’s not innovation, that’s self-inflicted damage. This isn’t just a Salesforce problem—it’s an industry problem. Too many leaders believe AI is a strategy when it’s just a tool. The truth: Firing thousands won’t fix your business. Junior developers. What happens in 10 years when we haven't trained any juniors? Here's the catch-22 I've been thinking about lately: As a junior dev today, do you: 💻 Lean heavy on AI to write code faster (but not understand what it does in the bigger picture)? Or 🧠 Write everything manually to truly learn (but fall behind on productivity)? But here's what AI CAN'T do: - Architect complex systems - Understand your customer's actual problems - Handle ambiguity and unknown unknowns - Make strategic product decisions "People talk about 'vibe coding' something over the weekend. You vibe coded a simple function that doesn't actually solve big complex problems." Big problems are complex. And complexity involves things you don't even know you don't know. The first few years of engineering used to be an apprenticeship. Learning the language. Building habits. But if AI is writing all the junior-level code, who's doing the apprenticing? This is going to bite us. Hard. If you're a junior dev, how are you navigating this? If you're senior, how are you thinking about training the next generation?
