Wendy Casey reacted on thisWendy Casey reacted on thisFinally made it back onto the #AdobeMax stage presenting the Sneak that I've been working on for many months. #ProjectCleanTake is a new set of AI models and workflows that make it easy to quickly fix issues with dialog and audio in your video projects. I built the experience and also collaborated on the design with my main man Adolfo Hernandez. The real brains behind all this reside in Adobe Research. This primarily includes Zeyu Jin's team in the Speech AI group. Justin Salamon and team from the Sound Design AI group also contributed the technology for finding similar music. Big thanks to my manager Yaniv De Ridder for getting me onto such a great project! Also want to thank Caroline Colón, Matthew Stegner, Sébastien Périer & Adolfo Hernandez S. for both, being my on-camera talent, and also helping me shoot the footage I used. I realized how much I've missed presenting, as it's been about 10 years since I did it last on the Sneaks stage. There was a little rust but it went well. Wendy Casey liked thisWendy Casey liked thisFor the first time since the 1960s, the gender pay gap is widening. Yup, you read that right. What has upended decades of progress for pay equity? Why are women making less per dollar than earned by men? Regressive, all-in, non-negotiable full-time return-to-office policies. These RTO policies disproportionately affect women, who are still doing the majority of childcare and household labor. Women ultimately benefit the most from choice and flexibility in how and where they get their work done. The good news is that this trend is not irreversible. Companies like Airbnb, Salesforce and Land O'Lakes, Inc. are getting it right. Others can follow suit. The increasing gender pay gap is not inevitable. It can be reversed. By rejecting regressive return-to-office mandates and embracing flexible, inclusive models of work, leaders have the chance to rewrite the story: one where the future of work finally works for everyone (eh hem-- WOMEN.) Spotify knows it: Remote work isn’t a “nice-to-have”. It’s a way to trust and empower your team. If you think remote equals slack, think again. True engagement thrives when freedom replaces micromanagement. Sure, office perks matter. But remote freedom? That’s what truly boosts engagement. A high-functioning remote team isn’t built overnight. It takes effort. Every single day. So, what does a thriving remote team look like? 1️⃣ Clear Goals and Outcomes → Everyone knows the target, no matter their time zone. 2️⃣ Intentional Communication → Purposeful check-ins beat constant pings. Clarity over chatter. 3️⃣ Flexibility that Respects Differences → Let people work when they’re at their best, no forced 9-to-5. 4️⃣ Trust Over Surveillance → Focus on results, not mouse movement. Adults don’t need babysitters. 5️⃣ Asynchronous Collaboration → Work adapts to schedules, not the other way around. Why does this matter? When employees feel trusted → They give their best. When communication is focused → They stay aligned. When flexibility is prioritized → Productivity soars.
