As one of the firm's founding partners, Tom built his practice around the people who build businesses. Entrepreneurs, family-owned companies, and closely-held partnerships — he guided them through formation, transactions, and succession planning, often serving as a steady hand across multiple generations. That dedication earned him an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Indiana Super Lawyer honors, and recognition from Best Lawyers. Beyond the office, Tom gave his time to the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce, the South Bend Rotary Club, and pro bono work for local nonprofits. We're grateful for everything Tom has contributed to this firm and this community. We hope retirement brings him more time with family and a few more Cubs games at Wrigley! Receiving an award inspired by Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati’s legacy of faith, humility, leadership, and service is incredibly meaningful to me. It is also a great honor to receive this recognition from Dr. Robert Pastoor, whose support and leadership have made a lasting impact on our community. This award reminds me that true leadership is not only measured by accomplishments, but also by character, compassion, and the way we serve and uplift others. I am deeply grateful to my coaches, teammates, professors, friends, and family for supporting me throughout this journey. I will continue striving to lead with purpose, faith, and integrity.

Cindy Gretschmann reacted on thisCindy Gretschmann reacted on thisYesterday I had the opportunity to present a poster at Purdue University’s Spring Undergraduate Research Conference. I presented alongside Dushyant Singh on an interdisciplinary study titled “Biometrics and the Flight and Simulator Environment: Understanding Fatigue and Stress in Student Pilots”. We are conducting this research as a part of our involvement in the DUIRI program at Purdue University. Our research examines the impact of stress and fatigue on collegiate student pilots helping to address a critical gap in the literature. I’m grateful to my mentors Julius Keller, Ph.D., Debra Henneberry, Mark Wilson, and Sudip Vhaduri and the DUIRI program for their guidance and support.
