Troy Lawrence shared thisI think I will always repost this sentiment that has shaped my leadership. Rephrasing a saying of mine that my team knows well, your technical (clinical) skills are not enough.Troy Lawrence shared thisHiring kind people with a positive attitude is better than hiring negative people with experience. Skills might open the door... But attitude is what 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 you up the ladder. Here are 10 ways your positive attitude can skyrocket your career:👇 1. Stronger Teamwork: ↳ Positivity brings people together, making collaboration feel effortless. 2. Boosted Productivity: ↳ A positive mindset = more energy, more focus, more results. 3. Smarter Problem-Solving: ↳ When you face challenges with optimism, they become opportunities. 4. Clearer Communication: ↳ Positive energy creates clearer, more impactful conversations. 5. Lower Stress: ↳ A happy environment is the best stress-buster. It’s contagious. 6. Better Retention: ↳ Happy employees stay longer. It's that simple. 7. Attracting the Best Talent: ↳ Good vibes attract great people. A positive team draws in top talent. 8. Happier Customers: ↳ Happy employees = happy customers. It’s a powerful cycle. 9. Innovation in Motion: ↳ Positivity fuels the courage to think outside the box. 10. Building Leaders: ↳ Positive environments create leaders, not followers. Skills? Yes, they matter. But attitude is the game-changer.

Troy Lawrence reposted thisTroy Lawrence reposted thisThe most powerful leaders aren't the loudest. They're the ones who make everyone feel heard. The truth is, being smart isn't enough anymore. Great leaders have both IQ and EQ. The best ones I've worked with do these 8 things: 1. They speak simply. No fancy words. No corporate talk. Just clear communication everyone gets. 2. They truly listen. Not just to problems. But to the person experiencing them. 3. They trust their people. No micromanaging. Just support and space to grow. 4. They stay calm in chaos. Because a steady leader Creates a steady team. 5. They give real feedback. Not just "good job" But guidance that helps people grow. 6. They welcome new ideas. Even the crazy ones. That's where innovation starts. 7. They build real connections. Not just team-building exercises. But genuine relationships. 8. They celebrate progress. Big wins. Small wins. Every step forward matters. I've seen this transform teams. Turn struggling departments into powerhouses. Create cultures where people actually want to work. Here's what I know: IQ might get you the job. But EQ makes you great at it. What kind of leader do you want to be? ♻️ Find this valuable? Repost for your network. 📌 Follow Amy Gibson for practical leadership tips.

Troy Lawrence reposted thisTroy Lawrence reposted thisWhat separates high performers from the rest? It’s not magic. It’s habits. Here are 10 principles they live by: 1/ They Say No to Almost Everything ↳ High performers protect their time fiercely. ↳ They focus on what matters and avoid distractions. 2/ They Prioritize Sleep Like a Billionaire ↳ Sleep is their secret weapon for sharp focus. ↳ Deep rest leads to better decisions and outcomes. 3/ They Manage Energy, Not Just Time ↳ They work when their energy levels peak. ↳ High-value tasks happen during high-energy moments. 4/ They Stay Disciplined Always ↳ They act on discipline, not fleeting motivation. ↳ Systems keep them consistent and on track. 5/ They Master Prioritization ↳ They focus on the few things that truly matter. ↳ They ask, “What drives the most impact?” 6/ They Own Their Schedule ↳ Their calendar reflects intentional priorities. ↳ They plan progress, not just busywork. 7/ They Pursue Lifelong Learning ↳ Growth is part of their daily habits and mindset. ↳ They constantly seek new knowledge and skills. 8/ They Make Stress Their Ally ↳ Stress becomes a tool for motivation and growth. ↳ They reframe challenges as learning opportunities. 9/ They Stay Rationally Optimistic ↳ They accept reality and focus on possibilities. ↳ Optimism helps them take bold, smart actions. 10/ They Invest in Emotional Intelligence ↳ They build trust, handle conflict, and inspire others. ↳ Their actions align with their values and example. High performers aren’t born; they’re built. Which habit resonates with you? #3 is my favorite. --- ♻️ If this resonates, repost it to help others too. ➕ Follow Lukas Stangl for more. 📌 Want free PDFs of all my cheat sheets? I still remember my last patient and the tears I shared during my final checkout with one of my favorite providers, Dr. David Bernhardt ✨ Administrative Operations Assistant – Care Model Teams(July 2019 – January 2022) I had the privilege of working alongside some truly inspiring people and seeing firsthand the incredible programs UW Health provides within our community. I was also honored to witness the amazing work behind the COVID-19 vaccine efforts led by Andrea Wipperfurth ✨ Clinical Administrative Supervisor – COVID Vaccines (January 2022 – March 2023) I worked with retired nurses who returned to make a difference during an unprecedented time. Their dedication, wisdom, and compassion taught me so much. The memories, laughter, and relationships from this chapter will always be special. ✨ Transplant Support Specialist – Pediatric + Adult Heart Transplant (April 2023 – July 2024) Being part of a brand-new program and watching it grow from the ground up was an incredible experience. Helping support children and families through life-changing journeys continues to tug at my heart. I still think about the very first transplant patient and the impact that journey had on all of us. 🫶 ✨ Scheduling Operations Analyst (July 2024 – Present) This role challenges and inspires me every day. I have the opportunity to work with incredible colleagues across UW Health while advocating for something I'm deeply passionate about—patient access. Being the analyst for Cardiology 🫀 has felt especially meaningful. After everything my dad went through in May 2025, this role gave me a deeper understanding of his journey and helped me become a better caregiver for him. 💜10 years. Ten years of growth, learning, challenges, laughter, friendships, and purpose. I am incredibly grateful for every person I've worked alongside, every mentor who guided me, every challenge that pushed me, and every patient whose story left a lasting impact on my heart. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Here's to the memories made, the lessons learned, and whatever comes next. 10Years #Grateful #UWHealth #HealthcareJourney #PatientAccess #WorkAnniversary
