Tim Reeves shared thisWhen ransomware hits, principles tend to meet pressure. Paying a ransom is rarely part of the plan. But when downtime, revenue loss, and reputational risk stack up, many organizations feel they have no other option. This is why recovery strategy matters as much as prevention. Because the strongest position in any negotiation is knowing you can recover cleanly, without shortcuts. More insight into how organizations are navigating these decisions can be found in our Global Cyber Resilience Report: https://lnkd.in/embF82u3 #CyberResilience #Ransomware #BoardLevel #SecurityLeadership #RiskManagement

Tim Reeves shared thisWith cyber threats evolving faster than ever, and the business cost of downtime higher than ever, disaster recovery is back in the spotlight across the Middle East. Mark Molyneux, EMEA CTO @Cohesity spoke to Security MEA about why organisations must rethink their DR strategies with a focus on speed, simplicity, and scale. The stakes are no longer just technical; they’re business-critical. And at Cohesity, we’re helping enterprises recover faster, smarter, and more securely. Tim Reeves liked thisTim Reeves liked thisJune 8, 2015. I walked into the twenty-some-odd person Cohesity office in Santa Clara. Mohit Aron had left Nutanix to build something he believed would change enterprise data management. I believed it too. 11 years later, I'm writing this from Tokyo. What happened in between is the part I think about a lot. The early years were about figuring out how to sell a category that didn't fully exist yet. How do you make an enterprise believe they need something they've been living without? Then the question that changed everything for me: who actually owns enterprise data in an AI world? Backup touches every workload. Every file, every database, every VM. It's a passive, continuous mechanism that had been quietly accumulating an enterprise's most important data for years before anyone thought to ask what else you could do with it. That question became Gaia. And Gaia became a big part of my life. The last few years have been a different kind of ride. Building an AI platform from a prototype on my laptop to something running in production across three continents. Moving to Japan. Watching customers here start thinking about sovereign AI infrastructure and realizing how much the story had grown from that small office in Santa Clara. Twenty-some-odd people to a global company. Sales engineering to the CTO office. California to Tokyo. I'm grateful for every person who's been part of this journey. The ones who believed before the product was finished. The ones who pushed back when I needed it. The Japan team, who made this chapter the most interesting one yet. 11 years is a long time in enterprise tech. Even longer in AI. I can't wait to see what year 12 looks like at Cohesity.

Tim Reeves liked thisTim Reeves liked thisQuick note of appreciation to the team that produced an attack video about Rubrik. 🙏 It’s genuinely touching to be the subject of a competitor’s marketing budget while we’re growing 48% YoY (FY26), backed by the only platform with a unified index and metadata enabling preemptive recovery in the age of AI. (Not five overlapping acquisitions held together with strategy decks that customers are confused about) And offering customers an actual ransomware warranty. Perhaps it’s a thank you gesture by them. Legacy vendors have enjoyed watching Rubrik redefine the market and lift their multiples. Until the results caught up. Turns out this is what market redefinition looks like, the competition stops talking about themselves and starts talking about you. We’ll take it. Keep building. Usage-based MSP revenue doesn’t disappear. It drifts. • PSA updates that don’t reach billing • Seats and licenses that change mid-cycle • Vendor usage that arrives too late • Manual fixes that quietly become permanent If usage is growing faster than revenue, it’s not a pricing issue. It’s an enforcement issue. #MSP #UsageBasedBilling #RevenueLeakage #PSASync #BillingAutomation #RevenueOperations #ManagedServices
