Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisFormer Amazon Web Services (AWS) insider here - one of the most valuable programs AWS offers is free. And most customers don't even know about it. Experience Based Accelerators or in AWS terms, EBAs. This is a time boxed engagement with AWS experts and your cross functional teams to deliver a concrete outcome while learning new skills along the way. AKA your team does the work to get hands on experience, guided by the pros. The outcomes span across migration, modernization, establishing a cloud foundation, FinOps, prototyping, etc. They also usually include both technical and operating model deliverables. If you're mid-migration or feeling stuck, ask your AWS rep or partner if an EBA engagement makes sense for you. The cost is your time. AWS peeps, what other programs do you wish your customers knew about? haavagreatdayyy ✌️ #AWS #CloudStrategy #Migration #EnterpriseTech

Tim Ramos reposted thisClaude Fable 5 is officially available on Amazon Bedrock today! While new models are always exciting, for organizations focused on generating real ROI, the conversation needs to move beyond just the model itself. It’s all about tokenomics and a robust multi-model strategy. Solutions like Bedrock Mantle, the AWS Strands SDK, and AgentCore allow for true model-agnostic agent development. This means you can design your architecture around choice: 1️⃣ Have highly complex, nuanced tasks where Claude Fable makes sense? Fantastic. 2️⃣ Can you achieve your defined business benchmarks and success criteria with Haiku, Sonnet, or Opus? Even better. The right tool for the right job remains the ultimate key to scalable AI. 🔑 How is your team balancing cutting-edge capabilities with cost-effective tokenomics?Tim Ramos reposted thisAI field note: Anthropic's fifth-generation Claude models are here, available on Amazon Bedrock, and a major step forward for autonomous agent work. The new Claude Fable 5 brings Mythos-class capabilities to every builder, with guardrails that make it safe for broad general availability. It's Anthropic's most capable model for coding, knowledge work, and vision, now accessible to all customers with the security, privacy, identity, and data controls you already run on Bedrock. Here's what's new: 🤘 Fable 5 is designed for long-running, autonomous agent work. It can drive complex projects for hours or days without intervention, managing sub-agents, developing its own evaluation harnesses, and self-verifying its outputs as it goes. You hand it a large project, walk away, come back to finished work. ⚡️ The model is proactive and thorough: it self-updates skills based on what it learns mid-task, builds its own testing harnesses, and verifies work before returning results. 👁️ Native vision across documents. Fable 5 reads diagrams, charts, tables, and images nested inside PDFs and files directly. No extraction pipelines, no pre-processing. This opens up research and document-heavy agent workflows in finance, legal, analytics, and architecture. 🔐 The new Mythos 5 is the same underlying model designated for advanced cybersecurity and biochemistry research, available to a small set of vetted organizations. Fable 5 performs at full Mythos-class capability everywhere else; a query in those restricted domains is rerouted to Opus 4.8, you're only charged at Opus pricing. Some fun proof points from Anthropic's internal testing: Fable 5 beat a Pokémon game with nothing but a screen and a controller (no harness, no scaffolding). It composed an EDM remix of a classical piece by teaching itself to interpret sound through rendered spectrograms, since the model can't hear audio. And it built a full CAD-style drawing program from a single chat request, autonomously. Claude Fable 5 is available today in the Bedrock model catalog. Pricing matches Anthropic's first-party rates, usage counts toward your existing AWS commitments, and there are no additional fees. Light it up!

Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisYou know that feeling when you KNOW the answer exists? It's in a Slack thread, or maybe a doc someone shared last quarter, or buried in an email chain from three weeks ago, and you spend 30 minutes hunting across tabs to piece it together. I need all the context before I make a decision. Always have. So, when I took our Amazon Quick style quiz and my style was “Researcher,” I was… not surprised. Quick just gets me. It's my digital soulmate. 💜💻 What’s your Quick style? Tim Ramos reposted thisModel choice and tool choice keeps expanding 🔥 Excited to share that we can now support customers leveraging (or looking to leverage) OpenAI models and tools in their workflows. Starting today: GPT 5.4 / 5.5 available as Frontier Models on Amazon Bedrock, with the ability to run Codex directly on Bedrock. More on the GA announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gTgZZj4y If you're interested in OpenAI on AWS but have additional model or tooling requirements, please connect with your Account Team. We'll ensure your needs are captured through our Product Feature Request (PFR) process, which is how AWS service teams prioritize the features customers demand most. #AWS #AmazonBedrock #OpenAI #GenerativeAI #AgenticAITim Ramos reposted thisWe just made GPT-5.5 available natively on Amazon Bedrock, bringing customers access to the most advanced OpenAI model alongside the broadest selection of frontier models already on Bedrock ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gZBmFWx2 GPT-5.4 and Codex are also now generally available on Bedrock, so customers have access to the full lineup. Both models run on Bedrock's next-generation inference engine. So customers get their own isolated queue with automated capacity management for predictable performance, requests that pick back up where they left off if hardware fails, and the same IAM, VPC, KMS, and CloudTrail controls they already have on AWS. More on what's available today: 🟠 GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.4 are built for complex, multi-step tasks and are available in the Amazon Bedrock model catalog today. You can call them through the Responses API on Amazon Bedrock and pay the same per-token rate as direct from OpenAI with no additional fees. 🟠 Codex brings the capabilities of these models directly into developer tools, with all inference routed through Bedrock. Excited to hear what teams will build on AWS with these advanced models from OpenAI.

Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisIs your health system interested in Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude’s models powering clinical and operational AI? AWS Bedrock gives you Claude — all models, Claude Code and Cowork included — through your existing AWS agreement. No Anthropic contract. No new BAA. No seat fees. Consumption-based. AI spend counts toward your AWS commit. The compelling event isn’t a product launch. It’s a market access problem that creates advantage for those who solve it first. AWS is hosting a free hands-on session exploring Claude Code and Claude Cowork on Amazon Bedrock. Topics covered will be: different ways to access Claude on AWS, including Amazon Bedrock, Claude Platform on AWS, and Claude Enterprise via AWS Marketplace and help you understand which option fits your organization's needs and the benefits of running Claude through Amazon Bedrock (ie. No usage limits, data residency, compliance, pay-as-you-go pricing, and enterprise integration). Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisBuild with AI, securely. These are the top security facts I share when I talk to CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and builders about Amazon Bedrock. 1. Model providers do not have access to your data in Bedrock. https://lnkd.in/gBjmF4tx 2. Your data in Bedrock is not used to train any model. https://lnkd.in/ggh78X9F 3. Secure your use of Bedrock the same way you secure your use of any AWS service. https://lnkd.in/gMPD_YTV 4. Bedrock is encrypted (in transit, at rest, etc) - use KMS if you want to manage the keys. https://lnkd.in/gSGykdMF 5. You can choose to log prompts and responses and store them securely in S3. https://lnkd.in/gGgTkhKW 6. AWS was the first cloud provider to be accredited for AI-based services (via ISO42001). https://lnkd.in/gf2iX3Ue 7. Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisIn my recent customer engagements, one concern consistently rises to the top: the fear of vendor lock-in. Organizations are looking for a partner that can help them define their ai and agentic strategy while building for the long term without being forced into constant, disruptive updates every time the AI landscape shifts. AWS’ AI/ML strategy is built specifically to address this by enabling you to prioritize flexibility and modularity. Here’s some functionality that translates directly into value for your ai transformation strategy: 1️⃣ Orchestration Without Borders: The Strands Agents SDK and Agent Core are designed for total compatibility. Whether you are using Amazon Bedrock or looking outside AWS to different model providers or frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI, your logic remains portable and modular. 2️⃣ True Model Choice: The Bedrock marketplace provides access to over 200 models. This includes industry leaders like Anthropic and soon OpenAI, alongside a deep catalog of open-weight and specialized models. You choose the right tool for the job, not the tool that’s easiest to lock in. 3️⃣ Open Data Foundations: True flexibility starts at the data layer. We are leaning into an Open Lakehouse strategy with support for Apache Iceberg and new optimizations like S3 Tables and S3 Files, all unified by AWS Glue. 4️⃣ Security as Job 0: We treat security and governance as a foundational component of the modular stack, not an afterthought. Agent Core includes built-in agent registries, evaluations, and observability. At the infrastructure level, Bedrock ensures zero operator access and secure account setups for model deployment so your data remains yours and isn’t used to train providers models. The goal is to provide the building blocks for innovation, not the handcuffs of a single provider. We are helping customers build architectures that are durable for the long term, yet flexible enough for next week. #AWS #GenerativeAI #CloudArchitecture #MachineLearning #OpenData

Tim Ramos reposted thisTim Ramos reposted thisHere’s the #1 reason Codex moved our entire AI domain from Cursor to Kiro 👇 A little while ago, we made the decision to transition our team from Cursor to Kiro. To be clear, this wasn’t because anything was broken. Cursor served us incredibly well, and the team used it to great effect. But what ultimately drove the move was one thing: Kiro makes it significantly easier to enforce a structured approach (requirements → design → build) And once we leaned into this properly, the impact was immediate. We saw a clear uplift in velocity, particularly from less experienced team members. More importantly, we could measure this improvement and demonstrate it to the business. That’s what made the decision a logical one. I'll share more next week how we went about this! #Codex #Kiro #AWS #AI #AgenticDevelopment

Tim Ramos liked this95% of alternative investment fund managers are using GenAI. Only 29% say it's made a real difference to the business. That gap doesn't surprise me. Adoption is the easy part. The hard part is putting AI where the work actually happens, inside credit analysis, inside workflows, close to the decisions that matter. The firms closing that gap aren't experimenting more... They're experimenting less and embedding more. Where has AI actually earned its place in your process?Tim Ramos liked thisWhere does AI actually belong in credit? Not everywhere. Not nowhere. The answer depends on the workflow, the data beneath it and the level of verification the task requires. Tim Ramos liked thisTim Ramos liked thisMany financial institutions do not buy offer management. They extend something they already own. The marketing cloud runs the campaign, the CRM holds the relationship, and the offer itself ends up governed by whatever process can be assembled around tools built for neither. That is why a relevant offer stalls between the decision and the customer. The platform was built to orchestrate a campaign, not to move a priced, compliant offer through disclosure review. Our buyer's guide covers the questions that separate a platform built for this work from one stretched to cover it. https://lnkd.in/eaAGuMPF

Yesterday, the IBM acquisition of Confluent officially closed...and if the Red Hat acquisition taught us anything, it’s that $11B valuations usually lead to "Cloud Pak" bundles and gated source code. As Jeff Mery breaks down in his latest deep dive, the "IBM Cycle" often trades community-driven innovation for high-margin proprietary features and aggressive audits. If you’re tired of the "Streaming Tax" and want to see how 100% upstream, diskless Kafka can slash your infra costs by 97% before your roadmap gets "IBM-ified," this is the one article you need to read today.
