Great to see such collaboration focused on moving potential therapeutic for the CTD families who have waited for long time.Theodore Huizenga liked thisWe're proud to announce that ACD has entered into a venture philanthropy agreement with Ultragenyx, committing $4 million to advance the clinical development of an investigational therapy for Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD). This is the largest research investment in ACD's history and a major milestone for our Race for a Cure initiative. It's a huge win for CTD families, and proof for our whole CCDS community that when we invest, take risks, and work with committed partners, we can move treatments forward. Today marks an exciting step forward powered by researchers, partners, donors, advocates, and families who have never stopped believing that a treatment for CTD is possible. Race for a Cure's next goal: raise $2 million by Dec. 31, 2026, to fund this investment and others. Since establishing the Mexico subsidiary in 2019, we have built an incredible team of more than 20 employees, successfully navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, achieved the approval of four orphan drugs in Mexico, and most importantly, helped many Mexican families gain access to life-changing treatments. I am incredibly proud of what my team has accomplished and deeply thankful to Ultragenyx for the trust, opportunities, and sense of purpose it has brought to my professional life. Theodore Huizenga liked thisTheodore Huizenga liked thisI am happy to share that I was recently promoted to Accounting Latam Director at Ultragenyx This new chapter represents an important milestone in a journey that started very early in my career, when I began working in accounting at 15 years old as a young learner. Today, I am proud to lead accounting operations across Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, working alongside talented teams and strong business partners throughout LATAM. A very special thank you to Travis Johnson , for the continuous support, trust and opportunities that have been fundamental throughout my professional journey and development. Also, a special thank you to Renata Mantovani for all the partnership and support during this important moment. I would also like to express my gratitude to Umberto Martinho , who hired me years ago and was my first leader in this journey at Ultragenyx. I am truly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey, leaders, colleagues, mentors and teams for the trust, support and continuous learning along the way.
