Waking up, checking emails, refreshing job boards, applying over and over again… it’s exhausting. It can mess with your confidence and make you question everything. You struggle to remain positive when you haven't had anything positive show up in your life. But I just want to remind you: the job you’ve been praying for is on its way & your breakthrough is coming! It might not come as fast as you want, but that doesn’t mean it’s not coming. Sometimes we can't see what is for us because it's not directly in front of us. Keep going. Keep showing up. Take breaks when you need to. But don’t stop believing in yourself. You’re closer than you think. You’ve got this, friend! ✨

Terence Hatchett liked thisTerence Hatchett liked thisI had an interview with a candidate who is an expecting mom and told me that they haven't been able to secure a role once they tell companies that they are expecting and due later on this year. Once they disclosed that information to me, I immediately started sharing about our maternity benefits and let them know that I wouldn't share it with anyone. I also told them that they don't need to disclose that to the hiring team (working in HR you aren't supposed to document or use personal information against a candidate when it comes to the deciding factor on if you were to hire them or not) and when they get the job (thinking positive) we can go from there and hopefully be able to work with them and the support of their manager. She has an interview with a hiring manager tomorrow. 😊🤞🏽 I try to help my candidates as much as I can. I know what it's like to be pregnant and starting a new job and it is possible to be successful while doing it. P.S. I share these stories to let people know that there are recruiters out there that actually care about their candidates and see them as a human and not just a body in a seat.

Let’s talk about the reality no one wants to admit: • The average job seeker spends 20+ hours a week applying to roles, tailoring resumes, writing cover letters, and prepping for interviews. • Only 2% of applications result in interviews, according to Glassdoor. • Candidates are left in limbo for weeks or ghosted entirely. Being unemployed isn’t a vacation—it’s exhausting, demoralizing, and financially draining. And yet, companies continue to make the process harder, not better. The truth is, there’s no talent shortage. There’s a shortage of companies treating candidates with respect.
