Tad Arnt reposted thisTad Arnt reposted thisIdaho has long faced a critical shortage of pediatric providers - especially in rural and underserved communities. For many families, access to consistent, local pediatric care has been limited or out of reach. That’s why the Pediatrics Residency of Idaho (PRI) at Full Circle Health is such an important milestone. As the state’s first-ever pediatrics residency program, PRI is helping build a sustainable, long-term solution to this challenge. Recently featured by the University of Washington - School of Medicine, our PRI program is designed to train pediatricians where they’re needed most. Through a Teaching Health Center model, residents gain hands-on experience in community-based settings, with a strong emphasis on primary care, continuity, and rural health. And it’s working. Physicians are far more likely to practice where they train - and early outcomes show PRI residents are choosing to stay in Idaho, serving communities that need them most. We are incredibly excited to be celebrating our first inaugural class of the PRI program this coming June and we invite the community to join us as plans are announced in the coming months. This isn’t just about launching a new program. It’s about strengthening the future of pediatric care in Idaho, improving access for families, and investing in healthier communities for generations to come. #pediatrics #medicaleducation #idahohealthcare #ruralhealth #graduatemedicaleducation #WWAMI #fullcirclehealth #idaho https://lnkd.in/gdJSHKmzIdaho’s First Pediatrics Residency Program Takes Root at Full Circle HealthIdaho’s First Pediatrics Residency Program Takes Root at Full Circle Health

Tad Arnt reposted thisTad Arnt reposted this🎉 Exciting News for Full Circle Health! 🎉 We are incredibly proud to announce that Full Circle Health is one of five community health centers in Idaho to receive a Behavioral Health Service Expansion grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This grant, part of the Biden-Harris Administration's historic investment in integrating mental health and substance use disorder treatment into primary care, will help us further improve access to comprehensive care for individuals across Idaho. 💡 Why is this important? 1️⃣ Mental health and substance use disorder care are critical, especially in our underserved communities. 2️⃣ By integrating these services into primary care, we can provide our patients with more comprehensive, coordinated care, ensuring they receive timely support exactly when it's needed. 3️⃣ This grant helps expand our capacity to serve more people in need, addressing mental health challenges and substance use with compassion and expertise. Full Circle Health is proud to be part of this movement towards integrated, accessible care in Idaho, and we are excited about the positive impact this will have on the lives of those we serve every day. Tad Arnt reposted thisTad Arnt reposted thisI think one of the things that has happened is that we've become too siloed. There’s an idea that fierce competition is the driving force behind human advancement. There is truth here but I’ve seen that the opposite can often be true with competitive spirit toward a common goal. World War II created a mission so critical that it united an entire nation. It pulled the country out of the Great Depression and aligned everyone toward a shared objective. That spirit of unity fueled remarkable progress for decades. America works best when we work together on big-scale transformation. 🇺🇸

I’m not sure if it can be at scale since we are all humans. We can begin by using tech to make things easier to do, better decision making tools with the goal freeing up the humans to have more impactful conversations.

Dr. Bob LeBow began his career at Terry Reilly in 1972, joining Terry and Rosie Reilly for what was labeled an “impossible task” of breaking down barriers to medical services in rural Southwest Idaho. Dr. LeBow was also passionate about biking, riding to and from work. He even rode his bicycle to make patient house calls! Donations to the Bob LeBow Patient Assistance Fund helps ensure that no one is turned away because they can't pay. Tad Arnt liked thisTad Arnt liked thisA milestone moment—my Doctorate is now officially complete. A.T. Still University This three-year journey has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect and reinforced the value of perseverance, purpose, and lifelong learning. I am deeply grateful to my family and friends for their support, Terry Reilly Health Services leadership and Board for their encouragement along the way. But the most meaningful validation came from my daughter, who is pursuing her own dreams of medical school. When she told me how proud she was—and that I was her role model—it put everything into perspective.

Tad Arnt liked thisTad Arnt liked thisMarty Makary used to ambush a Virginia courthouse every other Friday. That was the day the local tax-exempt hospital reserved the docket to sue its poorest patients. Marty would show up at the door with a lawyer and intercept them on the way in. They were working-class people in job uniforms, embarrassed, grim-faced, expecting to lose. He reviewed the bills on the spot, for free, as a medical expert. Pointing out fraud, upcoding, inappropriate care, contradictions to the court. Then his counterpart, a young lawyer named Joey Kirchgessner, argued until the hospital cried uncle. They won A LOT. I drove down one Friday to watch. I was working in the Trump White House at the time. I was so proud of him I could barely stand it. That's the man the WSJ op-ed page wants you to believe is the problem. Full story linked in comments.

Tad Arnt liked thisTad Arnt liked thisEdit: The amount of ignorance among healthcare professionals and so-called experts in this thread is staggering! The issue with the healthcare cost growing out of control is the way how healthcare is funded. The only way to solve this is to eliminate the dead weight costs injected by the insurance industry. That industry took almost 40% of every dollar spent on healthcare. The existence of insurance company in the middle also increases the other associated costs. By eliminating insurance as the middle man, we can cut at least 50% of the costs. The next issue to address is the outrageous compensation for medical doctors. See my other post for comparison. No other countries on earth where doctors are as well-compensated as the doctors in the US. The Fed's erroneous focus on one number, the overall inflation, is causing major problems in other sectors. Healthcare services are responsible for the biggest increases in price and the only sector that had seen employment increased overall the last two years. The right policy would be to fix healthcare. We need universal healthcare badly. No matter how high the interest is, the underlying causes for the healthcare crisis cannot be fixed without a fundamental change in policies. #inflation #healthcare #fedpolicy #ratepolicy #healthcarereform
