A moment of concern hidden behind a polite fake smile. 😂 Maybe "helping train the robots" isn't the best recruiting pitch. On the bright side, it's a pretty effective filter. Breakout is one of the most recognizable and iconic classic arcade games ever made. On Oasiz, we wanted to preserve that classic arcade feeling while making it social from the start. “Oasiz uses modern social tools to capture one of the most classic gaming experiences: the social interaction of an arcade, making this take on Breakout a great fit for the platform,” said Wade Rosen, Chairman and CEO of Atari. This version is built for jump-in multiplayer: two players share the same playfield, race to clear their color, use power-ups and debuffs, climb leaderboards, and play inside a platform designed around friends, chat, and community-driven play. I love how the game quietly turns into a nod to Pong mid-match where you have to make sure the opponents ball doesn't cross your side. Oasiz is built around the belief that software is one of the greatest creative mediums. For us, that means constantly exploring new ways to build, play, foster social interaction, and create fresh creative twists on the games people already love. Tabish Ahmed posted thisNext gen of Product Designers need to be Product Builders! You need to have vibe coding skill! You should be building something every weekend. The best PDs will sit right next to PMs + engineers and move fast, prototype, break, iterate before anything ships. If you can’t keep up with that speed, you’ll get left behind. Not because jobs disappear, but because your skill set no longer fits Honestly, I don’t think “Product Designer” will exist as a standalone job in 5 years. It will turn into something else. More builder than designer. Why I am writing this on Saturday ? IDK 🤷♂️ , but i spent all day yesterday integrating GCP with a tool and I am amazed of whats possible now. #productdesign #design #vibe

Tabish Ahmed liked thisTabish Ahmed liked thisThings have been a little quiet since we were heads down building but…excited to finally announce the launch of SparkChat on the iOS App Store! Social media has become more media and less social. When I open up Facebook and Instagram, I don’t see any of my friends on there anymore - it’s one third ads, one third content from strangers, and one third AI slop. My friends are no longer on social media - I either meet up with them IRL or catch up with them in group chats. SparkChat is the social group chat app that actually helps you actually hang out with your friends. My college group chat kept a monthly dinner going for a decade, and we still spend two weeks every month going back and forth on finding a time and a restaurant. SparkChat fixes that. It uses AI and our group's social memory to find the best time and place for us to meet, based on everyone's schedules, locations, and food preferences. Then it books the reservation and adds it to our calendars. After a decade of apps built to keep us on our phones, I hope SparkChat helps us touch grass and see our friends more. Very grateful for our early investors and supporters, especially Y Combinator and our group partners Garry Tan and Christopher Golda. Meta ’s open emg2pose dataset helped move sEMG research forward, and glove-based pioneers like MANUS™ showed how powerful precise hand tracking can be for robotics, VR, motion capture, and embodied AI. For us, the exciting part is making this direction wearable and practical. Led by our CTO Bin Lian , we built Conductor by combining Meta’s open dataset with Wetour’s model framework, signal-processing pipeline, and 8-channel wristband data — then bringing it into Orchestra as an on-device edge AI layer. This is more than hand tracking. It is a new human-intent data layer for Physical AI, robotics data collection, and future physical-world models. Over the last several years I've had the privilege of building incredible things along side some amazingly talented people. Together we created AI-native games like Death by AI, The Last Show, and Banana of Doom, reaching more than 60 million players and earning recognition for our work in generative AI. I'm deeply grateful for the friendships, lessons, and experiences from that journey. What ultimately drew me to Roblox is the opportunity to empower creators at incredible scale. The problems around creator tooling, analytics, experimentation, and AI are fascinating, and I couldn't be more excited to help shape the future of the platform. The past few years have been wild, but now it's time for the next adventure!

After a week of conversations around GDC, a few patterns became impossible to ignore. Not from the talks. From the hallway. I spent time with studio leaders, founders, and friends across the industry, and the same themes kept surfacing. 1. AI has moved from curiosity to implementation. The question isn’t “should we use AI?” anymore. It’s “where in the production pipeline does it actually create leverage?” Most teams are still figuring that out. 2. Some startups are trying to reach MVP with little or no engineering. Relying heavily on AI “vibe coding” can get you to a demo quickly. But it often creates a different kind of debt: systems nobody fully understands. AI can absolutely accelerate development, but sustainable products still need engineering thinking behind them. 3. The engineering scaling problem showed up everywhere. The leader who can build the first version of a system isn’t always the person best suited to scale the organization around it. Builder leadership and scaler leadership are different skill sets. Many studios only realize that shift is needed once friction starts appearing. 4. The “GDC Festival” concept is interesting, but still early. There were some visible changes this year, but if the goal is to truly reinvent the event, bigger shifts in venue and structure may still be needed. Right now the most valuable part of GDC remains what it has always been: the conversations between people navigating the same challenges. If there was one takeaway from the week: The studios that succeed over the next few years will likely be the ones that treat technology leadership as a strategic capability, not just a production function.
