The final 2025 episode of #Moonshot with Peter H. Diamandis focused on predictions for 2026 across tech, AI, chemistry, math, and the economy. One prediction by Salim Ismail deserves serious attention from the consulting industry and startup community: the shift from improving business flows through digital transformation to partnering with companies to redesign their business from the ground up, with AI as the core business center (the image speaks perfectly). I would call it #TheBezosMoment To understand the gap, imagine a book-selling company in the early 2000s. No internet-driven workflows, no mobile data, no real-time systems. Paper processes, daily briefings, and manual coordination were the synchronization layer. Then there was #JeffBezos, who clearly recognized the #WorldWideWeb moment and chose to build a business with the internet as its operating system. #Amazon was not a digital bookstore; it was an internet-native business from day one. Today, we call this #AINativeBusiness.

If you treat AI like traditional SaaS (zero marginal cost from day 1), you will fail. Great discussion with Peter Vesterbacka, Dany Farha, and Ahmad Ali Alwan. My takeaways on the new logic: 𝟭. 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 = 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘆 First runs are expensive (compute). The 1000th run must be cheap (memory). If you aren't caching and skill-harvesting, your margins will never look like a software company's. 𝟮. 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻g 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲. Cloud is for high-entropy novelty. Reliable inference will shift to the edge (on-device, quantization, model routing). This will progressively boost unit economics. 𝟯. 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 > 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 The near-term ROI for enterprises isn't in scientific discovery; it's in reliability. Think agentic BPO and sales support. Selling "consistency" is easier than selling "magic." AppliedAI 𝟰. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝘇𝗲 & 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴: AI sells into both services and IT budgets (a potential larger TAM than SaaS). Outcome pricing makes sense when a $50 human task becomes a $5 compute task. (unfortunately, some startups I meet are doing the opposite…) 𝟱. 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. We aren't done lowering costs. Keep an eye on neuro-symbolic reasoning and neuromorphic chips. The panel closed on a bigger, more human question: As we gain productivity, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲? The story behind ChipChip’s Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Amir Redwan, and his team is rooted in ten years of friendship and over five years of building together to address a critical gap in Ethiopia’s food supply chain. Amir studied software engineering, but his career path wasn’t straightforward. He did freelance work, collaborated with friends on tech projects, and kept searching for something that truly mattered. That search led him to a serious problem: in Ethiopia’s food supply chain, around 40% of food was being lost before reaching consumers. ChipChip was born to close that gap. The team is building an end-to-end group-buying platform, making food more affordable for consumers through collective purchasing power, and helping producers move stock faster, increase productivity, and earn more. Their big question: How can food get from producers to consumers within 48 hours of being harvested?
