Steven Yang liked thisSteven Yang liked thisI just learned we’ve hit a major milestone: more than 100,000 consumers at Chevron retail gas stations across California, Nevada and Arizona have sent letters to state lawmakers showing that they are fed up with reckless policies that threaten fuel supplies and drive up costs at the pump. Many thanks to all who have made their voices heard. We remain committed to our consumers and will continue to keep them aware of policymaker actions that affect fuel prices. I encourage you to continue to advocate and stay involved in the conversation.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with so many exceptional and dedicated people. The work was often challenging, but I always had the support of a great team. Thank you to everyone who has been part of that team over the years.

Steven Yang reacted on thisSteven Yang reacted on thisToday is World Cancer Day. Its less than a year since I lost my husband to Cancer. The process was horrifying, traumatising and quite frankly we all went to hell and back. Unfortunately, when you have someone in your family with Cancer, no one steps in to pay your bills whilst you take the time out you need to support your loved one. If your loved one are on long term sick leave, you are probably taking a financial hit and struggling to cover all the costs you would usually cover. Basically, cancer screws up a lot of stuff, not just your health and your family. It can pose a risk to you losing your home and goodness knows what else. This is the time when you really do understand what a good employer looks like. This is the time when your employer can really step up and show you how much you mean to them when you are at your lowest and contributing nothing to the workplace. We were so lucky that my late husbands employer at the time really did put his family first and continued to put his family first after he passed. They ensured we had everything we needed in the worst time of our lives. For that I will be forever grateful One of the reasons I decided to work for TransUnion was the support they instantly provided me with in my new situation as a widow with young children. I needed some flexibility around where I worked and i needed to feel like that flexibility was genuinely extended - not just a carrot to get me through the door. They also offered me benefits that meant if anything were to happen to me that my children would be taken care of, they also provided me with security with critical illness cover and private medical. Furthermore my well-being is always considered and the organisation provides me with the tools to be able to put my mental health first. So today on World Cancer Day, I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the organisations out there doing an exceptional job of supporting their employees that are going though the trauma of living with or supporting someone with Cancer. You are doing the right thing and you are making a difference.

The goal is to confirm the feasibility and performance of hydrogen as a commercially viable fuel for rail and marine vessels. Work to demonstrate a hydrogen-fueled locomotive will begin immediately.
