“I had the privilege of managing Steve while he was Director of Technology at Amazon Business. Steve was instrumental in helping drive Amazon Business during its formative years to a tens of billions dollar business. Steve primarily owned as tech and product leader of our vertical specialty markets such as public sector (including higher education), covid response, and other key areas. Steve is great to work with! His main strengths are technical curiosity and customer care while being a selfless team player at all times often willing to personally or have his team chip in when needed in other areas of our product. Steve never wavered from a deep dive into a technology stack (whether he initially understood it or not) or problem area. His thoughtful analysis paved ways for us to solve some of our more tricky issues in our product. I would recommend Steve to anyone who looks for a servant leader who can manage both the product he works on and the underlying technology. Steve seems tireless in his pursuit of customer delight.”
