“had the pleasure of hiring and managing Sowmya directly during my time at Johnson Controls/Exacq while we worked on video surveillance and access control solutions. During this time, Sowmya proved herself to be a serious UI/UX professional. Her contributions to the exacqVision mobile app helped it become the 5-star app it is today. She not only owned design projects but also excelled at leading research projects that helped drive the entire user experience. By conducting research sessions with stakeholders, collecting insights on product usage, and incorporating feedback on the designs she contributed to, we were able to develop apps with greater confidence, streamline the design process ahead of development, and minimize rework. Moreover, she helped define the processes and standards that we used. Although Sowmya's work is incredibly valuable, it would be a disservice not to mention that she was a joy to work with.
