  • Student Portal Redesign

    -

The goal of the redesign is to develop a student-centered portal that is intuitive and comprehensive which provides timely and personalized communication and is compatible with mobile devices.

For this, we developed REST APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API framework and a responsive Angular front-end website, including OAuth authentication. APIs allow integration to PeopleSoft, Active Directory, and Office 365. The solution is deployed on Server 2016 Nano Server with continuous deployment…

Worked with an Agile team to develop an Active Directory Federation Services-based single sign-on solution for the entire college. In three months, integrated seven major systems, including PeopleSoft, Brightspace, and Office 365. Employed the Kanban methodology to prioritize and track work throughout the project’s lifecycle.

  • Oracle Database Migration to Windows

    -

The Oracle Migration to Windows project was a project for moving our Oracle databases from a Unix-based OS to Microsoft Windows. I was responsible for evaluating the OS choice, planning for the migration, performing test moves, working with users to test the new environment, and performing the production migration. I provided training to my teammates on the new environment as well.

The OS choice was based on a combination of research on the Internet, hands-on testing in a lab environment, and an evaluation of our team's current skillset.

The migration was performed using built-in Oracle tools. Because Oracle is supported on both platforms, the migration was a relatively simple process.

Thorough testing, collaboration with other teams, and a well-documented plan contributed to the success of this project.
