I’m excited to share that I’ve joined VB Spine as Chief Financial Officer. VB Spine is a global company at the intersection of med tech and innovative technology, with ambitious goals and meaningful opportunities ahead. I’m energized to step into this role and partner with a talented, mission-driven team to scale the business, drive innovation, and make a real impact for patients worldwide. As I begin this next chapter, I’m also closing an important one at FTI Consulting after five years. This journey was incredibly formative — filled with consistently challenging and interesting work, alongside exceptional people. I’m deeply grateful for the trust, mentorship, and friendships that shaped both my career and my leadership. Thank you to everyone at FTI who was part of that chapter. I look forward to staying connected! Here’s to new beginnings and what’s ahead.

Honored, excited, and a little nostalgic.🥲 I’ve officially joined the Board of Directors at EquiCenter, Inc... a place that feels like coming home! After being put on horses at age of 3, and being dragged to my first lessons by my sister at age 9; by 13, my dad found a way to get me a horse of my own. Years later, he said, “If I couldn’t straighten you out as a teenager, I figured a horse could.” And honestly… he was right. Horses taught me how to stay calm under pressure, respect power you can’t control, and get back up when you fall. They also taught me that kindness isn’t just nice... it’s necessary. EquiCenter, Inc. is a 200-acre therapeutic riding center that serves veterans, at-risk youth, and individuals with disabilities. Their mission of using horses and nature to help people heal and grow; is EXACTLY the kind of work I want to support with both heart and hands.♥️🤲 In my career, I believe deeply in the importance of helping people take care of themselves financially (of course), but just as importantly personally and purposefully. Joining EquiCenter’s board is one more way I can live those values out loud. Life update for anyone I didn’t reply to the last few months or no showed on meetings in early September. 📣🥴……. 9/6/2024 “He is ours in a way that he will never be theirs, yet he is theirs in a way that he will never be ours, and so together, we are parenthood.” 🙏 We received a call in early September to adopt a baby boy, Sam, that was 2 days old. We had to leave town suddenly in a panic pack because he had been discharged from the hospital without a forever home plan and in a highly emotional/sensitive family dynamic necessitating the rush for us to arrive to town. We pulled out the newborn boxes from the attic, mobilized like pros with a plan (we had no plan but we knew we’d figure it out 💪) and got on the first flight to Utah✈️. We met Sam’s beautiful bio family when we arrived. They came to stay at our airbnb for the week to spend time with Sam while we waited to be cleared by state adoption laws to come back home. This video captures some clips from our trip (no pictures of the bio family out of respect for their privacy). 8 days and 3 airbnbs later, we returned home. We are deeply grateful to Sam’s birth parents that put the needs of their child over wants of their hearts. We wouldn’t be parents to Sam without their unconditional love for what they thought was best for their son. Every adoption story is unique and different. We have Open Adoptions with both our children’s birth families. This was what we thought was the best choice for our children and families but may not be the best scenario for all adoptions depending on the dynamics. If you’re considering adoption we’re happy to share our experiences. We are huge fans of adoption and the additional love and family it has brought our lives. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of my Vaco Family and team that jumped in and covered my calendar, moved meetings, and stepped in to help during this crazy but beautiful time in our life.
