“I've worked with Samuel for the past few years as a direct team member. Sam has many strengths as a Software Engineer. Most outstanding to me since the day we started working together has been his steadfast adherence to best practices. He's knowledgable in task execution, and keeps the entire delivery cycle in mind. He speaks up to make sure we are not making "temporary fixes" and this has helped our team not incur more technical debt. He works collaboratively with other teams to hold our entire department to better standards. One of my favorite things is Samuel challenged other teams to adhere to versioning releases so our reliance on their work would not negatively impacted or cause disruption to our customers. With their versioned and tested changes in place our product (and a handful of others) were able to adopt the new version in our regular planning/delivery cadence. I wold highly recommend Samuel Marino to a Software Engineer role. He's got many qualities of an excellent team member. He works to challenge others and help raise each of us up. He doesn't shy away from asking hard questions, nor from breaking up difficult tasks to smaller, deliverable changes that meet the needs of the customer.”
