Rodney Wead reacted on thisSO HONORED!!! I am so pumped and honestly surprised be announced as one of the top 10 finalists. $1 Million dollar in Cash prizes split between the top 5, I didn't think I stood a chance out of the 1,182 companies that entered. I feel blessed and shoutout to Kelley School of Business - IU for teaching me how to do pitches in their Entrepreneurship courses specifically "Spine Sweat." The SBA Indiana District Office, and Steve Bryant, MBA and his team at the Southcentral Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) has always done an amazing job and letting us know what programs, loans, grants, etc may benefit MSP. Business is so much easier when you have great people helping and advocating for you. #defense #veteran #teamwork #manufacturing #pitch #leadershipRodney Wead reacted on thisAfter reviewing thousands of applications, we are proud to announce the 10 Semifinalists for SBA’s Patriot Pitch Competition! - Paul Melrose, Compotech, Inc. - Martin DiBattista, Better Team USA Corp. - Dee Spencer, D. Rodney Wead liked thisRodney Wead liked thisPeople often ask what we're looking for when we hire. The answer surprises some people. It's not the most experience or the longest résumé. It's not even the strongest technical skills. Those things can all be taught. What we look for is: - A strong work ethic - Resilience when things get difficult - A desire to keep learning - A willingness to be part of something bigger than yourself The people who thrive at MSP aren't just here for a paycheck. They care about the work, their teammates, and most importantly, they care getting better. Skills can be developed. Character is what makes the difference. #TeamMSP

Rodney Wead liked thisRodney Wead liked thisCSpring was named the #1 Best Place to Work in Indiana for 2026! I'm incredibly proud but more than anything, I'm grateful. What makes this recognition special is that it comes directly from our team. The people who experience our culture every day are the ones who decide whether it's worthy of recognition. This award belongs to them. It belongs to the teammate who stays late to help someone new. The person who speaks up when something isn't right. The people who show up every day ready to support each other, solve hard problems, and genuinely care. It also reflects the culture Cynthia Pizarro has built from the beginning: one where people come first, excellence matters, and we hold ourselves accountable to one another. It's something I'm proud to be part of. Congratulations to everyone at CSpring! Thank you for making this the kind of place people are proud to be a part of.

Rodney Wead reacted on thisRodney Wead reacted on thisA week ago Friday, on June 12, my beloved husband Frank Mcdowell past from this world to a better place. I miss him so much, and my heart hurts that I can't see him every day. I still expect to see him, asking me how I slept in the morning, and talking about what we should have for dinner. Yet he is with me now, and he is healthy and happy, and will be with Hunter and I forever. Frank is the kindest most generous person I ever met, always with a smile, a laugh and a kind word for everyone, sharing his stories of love and laughter. He never judged and he loved everyone. We had so much fun in the 28 years we have been together, and I cherish every memory. They say the good times are something to call on when the bad times come, and I have enough good times and memories to get through anything. I miss you and love you Frank, and heaven just got a whole lot more fun! See you in the future when we can be together forever. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm CT on June 30 at Rosewood Funeral Home, 17404 West Lake Houston Parkway, Atascocita, TX 77346. A memorial service will be held at 10AM CT on July 1st at the same location.

If you’re a CFO trying to land a private-equity role, here’s the truth no one says out loud: PE firms don’t care about your credentials. They care about your chaos. You don’t get hired into PE because you’re “polished.” You get hired because you’ve been punched in the mouth by a business and stayed standing. PE doesn’t want the CFO who kept everything smooth. They want the CFO who kept everything from falling apart. They’re impressed by: • the time you stabilized cash when payroll was 48 hours away • the time you fixed a close that was 15 days late • the time you cleaned up a dumpster-fire ERP • the time you rebuilt a finance team full of passengers • the time you took a business from “WTF” to “we’re fine” PE wants operators, not ornaments. They want CFOs who can walk into a burning building and decide which fire to put out first. So if you want to position yourself for a PE seat: Stop selling perfection. Start selling your scars. Tell the truth about the messes you fixed. Own the ugly projects nobody else wanted. Lead with impact, not acronyms. And stop acting like a slightly shinier Controller, it’s obvious. In PE, pretty résumés get interviews. Battle-tested CFOs get offers. CFOs: what’s the “war story” you’d lead with if you dropped the corporate filter? 👇 #PrivateEquity #CFO #FinanceLeadership #ExecutiveSearch #ValueCreation #PEBacked #CFOCommunity #OperationsExcellence #Leadership #FinancialStrategy
