🙏 Gratitude.
It's the first word that comes to mind as I reflect on one of my most meaningful milestones of becoming a U.S. citizen on June 17, 2026.
In 2013, I arrived in the United States as an international student at
San José State University with big dreams and an eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace every opportunity that came my way.
The journey wasn't always easy. There were setbacks along the way, but they taught me resilience, adaptability, and perseverance. Looking back, those challenges make this milestone all the more meaningful.
What I didn't expect was that this journey would give me so much more than an education and a career. Along the way, I found lifelong friendships, incredible mentors, an inspiring professional community, and most importantly, a family.
To my family, friends, mentors, colleagues, and everyone who supported and believed in me throughout this journey- thank you! Your encouragement, guidance, and kindness have meant more than words can express.
It's especially meaningful to celebrate this milestone in the same year that America celebrates its 250th birthday!
To me, America is a land of opportunity where resilience is rewarded, hard work opens doors, and people from all walks of life can build a brighter future. I'm proud to call this country home and excited to continue learning, contributing, and giving back.
❤️🤍💙Happy 250th Birthday, America! ❤️🤍💙
