Riley Barrett shared thisI'm so proud of the collaboration with Madeline Melchiori over the past few months. Designing the Rêve + Roots brand was so much fun. Madeline gave me full creative freedom to take her ideas and bring them to life. Watching Madeline build this brand has not only been inspiring, but a reminder of what's possible when you give it your all. The first pre-sale begins this weekend, and I know it's going to be a success! In the coming weeks as the brand launches, I will share more about the branding, packaging and website that was designed by Barrett Creative. ⚡Riley Barrett shared thisAfter months of dreaming, building, testing, refining, and wearing more hats than I ever thought possible, I am so excited to officially share the launch of my brand, Rêve + Roots. This weekend marks the beginning of our very first pre-sale, a milestone that feels surreal because it has felt both impossibly far away and somehow here before I knew it. Our debut collection, Capsule 1: Narragansett, pays homage to a beautiful coastal beach town, my roots, my home. Through its textures, ingredients, and scent, this collection, and each one after it, is designed to transport you. An escape to somewhere beautiful. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so it probably comes as no surprise that I would eventually find myself building something of my own. Over the past several months, I've stepped into more roles than I can count. CEO, formulation chemist, product developer, project manager, marketer, photographer, administrative lead, head of sales, and everything in between. Every challenge has required me to learn, adapt, and push myself beyond limits I didn't know I was capable of reaching. There have been plenty of moments when imposter syndrome has crept in, where self-doubt took over and the unknown seemed terrifying, but confidence doesn’t always come before action. Betting on yourself is not a one-time leap, it’s the decisions we make everyday, even when there are set-backs, to keep showing up. The journey hasn't been easy. These have been some of the most demanding months of my career, but without question, they've also been the most rewarding. More often than not, I wake up in awe that the life I'm building has already exceeded some of my wildest dreams. There are plenty of parts of running a business that aren't glamorous (even in the world of beauty), but every challenge feels worthwhile knowing I'm building not only my dream company, but my dream life. Rêve + Roots is more than a beauty brand. It's the intersection of two lifelong passions: my love for the beauty industry and my deep curiosity about travel and the world around me. I've always been enamored with exploring new places and seeking out meaningful experiences. It’s what first drew me to photography, another hobby and side hustle I kept up with for years. But the opportunity to build a beauty brand inspired by my travels, to create collections that transport people somewhere new through scent, texture, and story, that is my why. Every decision, from our formulations to our storytelling, has been shaped by the places I've been, the cultures that have inspired me, and the destinations each collection is designed to capture. This is only the beginning, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has encouraged me, challenged me, supported me, and believed in both this vision and in me along the way. Here's to dreaming without bounds, staying grounded, and creating beauty that transports. Welcome to Rêve + Roots. 🤍

3moRiley Barrett shared thisThat's us, together. While we're looking up at the Artemis II crew journeying to the Moon, they're looking back home at us. In the first image, Earth peeks through the capsule window, reminding us that a view like this relies on the ingenuity and hard work of countless people back home. In the second image, we see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. -
Riley Barrett shared thisIf you’ve been watching St. John’s basketball lately, you may have spotted my recent campaign with the USGA promoting the 2026 U.S. Open ⛳ . The tournament will be held in New York, at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. This is just one of several projects I’ve been working on to promote the championship! Check out the activations below ↓

Riley Barrett shared thisThat's 1 year in the books 🎉 I started Barrett Creative 1 year ago with no real direction — I just knew there was something more out there. This year has been more successful than I could have ever imagined. When you work with good people, good things happen. In 2025, I worked with 14 clients, launched 4 brands, and delivered countless projects across sports, tech, restaurants, and more. Grateful for everyone who’s trusted me with their vision. We're not slowing down anytime soon. 🚀

Riley Barrett shared thisMy designs with Roadkill Running are now in Philly Runner! Big shoutout to the Roadkill team, they've been crushing the game for the past year, I can't wait to see what's next 🚀Riley Barrett shared thisIncredibly proud of our team at Roadkill Running for landing our first retailer with Philadelphia Runner! I bought my first pair of race shoes at Philly Runner when I was training for the Philadelphia Marathon 3 years ago, and it is still completely surreal that our products will now be offered in this exact location. Incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and a huge thank you to the PR team for welcoming us with open arms. Come check out our newest Performance Gear and support 2 local Philly Businesses at the same time! 🔔 🏃♂️

Riley Barrett shared thisI had a blast working on the 'Tourist Trap' run with New Balance and Endorphins this past month. This was a 1-mile unsanctioned race looping around Pat's and Geno's Steaks – and I had full creative freedom to design the race bibs, shirts and event banners. Without the Philly running community I wouldn't have opportunities like this. Looking forward to working on more events! ⚡ ⛈️

Riley Barrett shared thisFull circle moment today! I had the chance to speak to students in the Design On-Site class — part of the Drexel Westphal program I graduated from just a few years ago. I shared a bit about building Barrett Creative, what it’s like running a one-person design studio, and some lessons I’ve picked up along the way. Big thanks to Bill Rees for having me back.

Riley Barrett posted this6 things I’ve learned since starting my solo design agency: 1️⃣ Overdeliver. If a client asks for a rough draft, send something that looks finished. Say yes to weekend projects. The extra effort compounds. 2️⃣ Use every connection. That high-paying client might come from an old coworker or someone you met once at a party. 3️⃣ Say yes to small projects. A $100 job today can turn into a large retainer. Don’t overlook small opportunities. 4️⃣ Speed > perfection (sometimes). A design that’s 90% done but on time can be more valuable than a perfect one that’s late. 5️⃣ Don’t wait to look “official.” You don’t need a website, a brand, or business cards to start. Clients care about results. 6️⃣ This isn’t a 9–5. Weekends happen. But so do 1pm workouts and Wednesday mornings off. The freedom is worth the trade.

Our team, consisting of 10 competitors, is the largest group Ocean State has sent to this event. I take pride in being part of this trucking team and have confidence that our group will perform well. Best of luck this weekend team Job Lot!

Riley Barrett liked thisRiley Barrett liked thisAfter an incredibly formative chapter in Boston, including my time at Choate Hall & Stewart LLP, I’m excited to share that I’m making a creative and intentional career shift as I relocate to Newport, RI to join Exquisite Events Planning & Design as an Event Specialist and Executive Assistant to founder and owner Stasia Anthony. Recognized by Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Exquisite Events Planning is a premier boutique event planning and design firm known for its elevated aesthetic, highly personalized approach, and flawlessly executed celebrations worldwide. From luxury weddings and tented destination events to galas, corporate gatherings, cultural celebrations, and intimate private occasions, the team brings extraordinary visions to life with remarkable creativity, professionalism, and logistical precision. Having experienced one of Exquisite’s productions firsthand as a guest, I saw the care, artistry, and seamless execution behind every detail. This new role feels like a meaningful intersection of my background in operations, client services, finance, and law with my passion for creative, experience-driven work centered around events, design, and hospitality. I’m incredibly grateful for the mentors, colleagues, and experiences that shaped my time in Boston, and especially thankful to Stasia Anthony and Joyce Holland for making this transition so welcoming. I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter in Newport and to help bring extraordinary celebrations to life alongside such an exceptional team.
