Regine Murray, M.A. shared thisHappy National Technology Day! Loved this story so much 😊 great job executing this Tina Biasella & Esther H.Regine Murray, M.A. shared thisIn recognition of National Technology Day, we’re reminded that small investments can make a big impact — especially when they help shape the workforce of tomorrow. Through our Advancing Good program, LYB was proud to support a community‑based STEM education partnership at our Akron site that brought a new Aquaponics Lab to life for the 2025–26 school year. The lab gave students hands-on experience with science, technology, engineering and math through a closed-loop system that teaches sustainable environmental practices while growing plants and raising fish. With support from LYB, the school has access to the equipment students need to learn, experiment and grow from day one. By investing in local education and practical STEM experiences, we are helping build pathways to future careers while supporting solutions for everyday sustainable living in the communities where we operate. #LYB #NationalTechnologyDay #Innovation

Regine Murray, M.A. reposted thisRegine Murray, M.A. reposted thisProgress feels most meaningful when it shows up in everyday operations. At our Wesseling site in Germany, teams are collaborating with the Armando Alvarez Group to implement bio-circular solutions in a very practical way. By using Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) bags with attributed bio-circular content on a mass balance basis, certified under ISCC+ standards, we are demonstrating how materials like these can be integrated into everyday operations. An example of what’s possible when trusted relationships and technical expertise come together, taking small but important steps forward. Regine Murray, M.A. liked thisRegine Murray, M.A. liked this“Your role has been eliminated.” Those were the five words I heard last year. At first, they felt like they might define the end of a chapter. But looking back, I’m incredibly grateful there was a comma after that sentence—not a period. What seemed like a career setback became the beginning of an unexpected opportunity. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of leading the global performance management cycle and supporting talent development across the organization. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, stretching me in new ways and equipping me with skills that will continue to shape my growth as a leader. The timing wasn’t lost on me either. Just one month after hearing those five words, I was standing in front of colleagues during our Global Safety Day, speaking about Bouncing Back and Resilience. Sometimes the lessons we teach are the very ones we’re living. I’ve learned that career journeys are rarely written in straight lines. The moments that feel like endings often become the commas that lead to something even greater. What looked like a setback became a setup for my next opportunity. What’s a “comma moment” in your career—one that changed your story for the better? #Leadership #CareerGrowth #Resilience #TalentDevelopment #PerformanceManagement #GrowthMindset #HumanResources

Regine Murray, M.A. reacted on thisRegine Murray, M.A. reacted on thisWE DID IT!! 🎊 Yesterday marked one full year since my work siblings and I began our full-time careers at LyondellBasell! What makes this moment even more special is that many of us in this photo, along with a few who couldn't join due to other commitments, were corporate interns together two summers ago. I'm grateful we had the chance to capture and celebrate this milestone together. It's a memory I'll always cherish! If I had to describe this past year in one word, it would be "WOW!" No amount of classes could have fully prepared me for the transition from college to the professional world. It has been a year of incredible highs, fierce challenges, and countless opportunities. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been coming full circle from being an intern to now supporting interns and co-ops as they begin their own careers. It's been incredibly meaningful to contribute to their growth and share what I've learned. I am grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey, from the Learning and Talent team, where it all began as an intern, to the Early Career Talent Acquisition team that welcomed me into my full-time role, and to the many people leaders, colleagues, and role models who have supported me along the way. Thank you for the guidance and encouragement! Here’s to one year down and many more adventures to grow ahead! 😁 #LyondellBasell #TeamLYB #OneYear #RookiesNoMore

Regine Murray, M.A. liked thisRegine Murray, M.A. liked thisThroughout my career, I've encountered many team-building events that left me less than impressed. From blindfolded activities (I admit to peeking) to climbing ropes high in the trees (which may have led to some nausea), I’ve seen it all. So, when Monica Silva Kaus announced "time for team building" during our LyondellBasell Corporate Communications meeting today, I wasn't exactly thrilled. This time, however, the activity was called "what they say behind your back." Each participant had a piece of paper taped to their back, and we had the duration of one song to write positive notes about each other—highlighting traits, strengths, and how we would describe one another. Among the compliments I received were: cool under pressure, thoughtful, has your back, and gets things done. Monica encouraged us to revisit these notes when the day got tough. While today wasn’t particularly challenging, I still took a moment to look back at those affirmations. I may not be a full convert to team-building activities, but this one certainly made an impression. Consider trying it with your own team. #teamawesome

LYB supports the launch of SCS-004, a third-party certification standard from SCS Standards that defines responsible chemical recycling and builds confidence through transparent environmental, social and operational criteria. As demand for circular solutions grows, standards like SCS-004 can help advance accountability and transparency, support consistent expectations and enable more plastics to stay in circulation and out of the environment. Regine Murray, M.A. liked thisRegine Murray, M.A. liked thisIt's finally happened... I've become an elder gay at the office 👴🏻 This past Pride Month, I was flattered when asked to be part of a fireside chat with LGBTQ+ @EF, the employee resource group I helped found years ago, to talk about how it all started. (Spoiler: it didn't start as a strategic initiative. It was a handful of people saying "want to grab a drink at LINGO?" and refusing to stop.) The reason this one means so much to me is because EF was the first workplace where I was fully out. Getting to show up as my whole self changed how I worked, how I led, and how much fun I had doing it. Helping build a community so others could do the same just became the natural next step. A few things I found myself saying outloud: It is not cringe to engage. Drop the idea in the chat. Suggest the coffee. Someone will show up, and you never know what it grows into. The best communities aren't built by committees. They're built by people raising their own hands and having enough grit and resilience to keep going when you hit the inevitable obstacles. And the question I'm still chewing on: we spent years building this because it didn't exist. Now it does. So for everyone walking into a workplace where the community is already up and running... now what? What do you build next? Grateful to current co-captain Peter Hemingway for hosting, his other co-captains Stu J. & Bryan Rodriguez, and to everyone who came with great questions. And per my official closing statement on the call: I'm gay and it's okay. Cheers for queers. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

I’ve spent the past few days at a conference with other senior marketing and communications executives who are digging into some of the biggest challenges facing our profession. While I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, my experience in the University of Houston’s Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (EDBA) program, as profiled by the Houston Business Journal below, has without a doubt prepared me to navigate said challenges — and reposition many of them as opportunities — in a way that I believe creates a true competitive advantage for me and for my organization. For those of you interested in learning more about EDBA programs, check out the article below or send me a message. Always happy to chat (and to nerd out with you on the topic of my future dissertation!).
