When I began college, many classmates had prior coding experience, and starting from scratch felt a little discouraging. The emphasis on understanding the logic behind coding, irrespective of specific languages, resonates deeply with me. Learning how to code not only equipped me with a valuable skill but also taught me a new way to think and a fresh perspective for solving problems. This is something that I view as important to teach to children whether they continue coding or not. Daphne brings to the business five years of experience across fund management, private wealth management and financial analysis. Most recently, Daphne held the role of Investment Adviser at Anthos Private Wealth Management in Amsterdam, where she worked closely with the Private Equity and Impact teams to source potential investments, as well as spearheaded a financial literacy programme for Next Generation clients. Prior to Anthos, Daphne was an Analyst at Franklin Templeton, supporting the Global Equities team with financial modelling and analysis. In this notebook, we performed pre-processing and training data development for our home price prediction project. We started by standardizing the numeric features using a scaler to ensure consistent scales across variables. Next, we applied Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce the dimensionality of our dataset and capture the most important features.
