“I worked closely with Vikas for over an year, when he was reporting to me as program manager in the NOSTG India PMO. Vikas is an extremely capable and dedicated program management professional, with strong analytical and communication skills. These, along with his solid technical background and process knowledge, have helped him to be a highly effective program manager in Cisco’s intense release engineering environment. A key strength for Vikas is his enthusiasm for learning new technologies and tools. Vikas is one of the few program managers I have known willing to put in the additional effort needed to build an in-depth understanding of the technology and business aspects relevant to the business organization. Vikas was the person primarily responsible for the successful implementation of the DMS tool and Equipment Utilization and Governance Model in NOSTG India, which resulted in an annual capex savings of USD ~50M. The technology curve and the effort involved in executing this program were non-trivial.
