This past week, I graduated from Harvard Medical School's Global Healthcare Leaders Program alongside a group of extraordinary people. Clinicians, executives, innovators, and changemakers from every corner of the healthcare world. A deep thank you to faculty and module directors Ted James, MD, MHCM Joshua B Brand, Zirui Song, and John Glaser for curating a program that confronted us with the hard realities of healthcare and gave us the frameworks, ideas, and inspiration to tackle them head on. What made it truly special was the people. Real conversations, genuine curiosity, three live gatherings in Boston and virtual sessions in between. From strangers to colleagues to friends in eight months. People I will call when I need a different perspective or when I need a reminder of why we do this work in the first place. People who lead with exceptional competence and heart. One thing this cohort made undeniably clear is that our different healthcare industries can think together, care together, and strive together, to move healthcare forward for patients in their most vulnerable moments, and before they ever get there. I'm a forever optimist who believes the future is ours to shape and therefore can always be better than what we see today. This group gave me every reason to double down on that belief. I am stoked to work alongside the inimitable database faculty, Andy Pavlo and Jignesh Patel, and pursue a database-centric lifestyle. Olivia Sheppard reacted on thisOlivia Sheppard reacted on thisEarlier this month, I was elected to be the next student body president of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, alongside my three friends and co-presidents, Aayushi, Maité, and Tyson. In a similar vein, I’ll also be rejoining the Stanford University Board of Trustees, this time as a graduate student representative. With AI rapidly shaping the future of white collar work, I believe there’s no better time for college, and especially for an MBA. Foundational skills in management, organizational leadership, goal setting, vision creation, taste, and culture are the critical competencies of the future. There are few environments better suited for developing them than universities and business schools, where you are exposed to a much greater diversity of people, thought, background, industry, and intellect than you would be while trying to learn them 'on the job'. And, I firmly believe there’s no better school to master these skills than Stanford. This university has played a pivotal role in previous technological revolutions and will undeniably be the epicenter of the current and next ones as well. It’s the most special place in the world, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to make it a better place. I’m so excited for the chance to shape the experience for the leaders of tomorrow :)

See publicationSecond author on this paper, I conducted cytotoxicity studies on C. elegans to determine upconverting nanoparticle impact on proliferation. I also performed image and data analysis as well as pH studies of buffer solutions to determine upconverting nanoparticle activity in biologically relevant pH.

The math has changed for New England biotech. Here's one way to adapt. If you run or help lead a biotech right now, you already know the funding picture got harder this year. A few numbers that say it plainly: → Massachusetts is on track for its lowest NIH funding since 2019 — losing out on more than $463 million in 2025 compared to the year before, if cuts continue at the current pace.
