Noelle Matthews shared thisThis time next week I’ll be wrapping up my Make-A-Wish Oregon Trailblaze hike! 🥾💙 Last week, two colleagues and I spent some time during the workday helping assemble hiker welcome bags for this incredible event. It was a small project, but a great example of something Prologis does really well: supporting employees who want to give back to their communities. I’ve appreciated seeing a company back up its commitment to community by giving employees the time and support to volunteer, whether through team opportunities or causes that are personally meaningful. This happened to hit both marks for me! Looking forward to taking on 26.3 miles next week for an amazing cause!

Not only for the amazing support from my community, but also for having the health and ability to take on the 26.3-mile hike at the end of this month in support of such an incredible organization. Noelle Matthews shared thisOne of the highlights of my week was getting to attend CREW Portland’s CorksCREW event on Wednesday. I had so much fun reconnecting with former coworkers, running into a friend I ran Hood to Coast with, meeting new people, and learning more about the stories behind some incredible Oregon wineries. The wine was fantastic (especially the sparkling options 🍾🥂), the food was delicious, and I always love a photobooth!! It was one of those nights where you end up seeing people from all different parts of your life while meeting plenty of new faces, too. Thank you to the CREW Portland team for putting together such a great event, and to the women winemakers for sharing both their wines and the stories behind them. 🍷 I'd love to hear... what one of your highlights was this week!?

Have you ever thought to yourself: "I'd love to be stuck in a van with 5-6 near-strangers for two days, help cover 200 miles across Oregon, run in the middle of the night wearing a headlamp, survive on an alarming quantity of snacks, and catch a few hours of sleep in a field or the backseat of a car?" If so, I have great news: the Willamette University Hood to Coast team is recruiting. Shoutout to fellow Bearcat and DG Abby Kahl for organizing a WU team this year. When I saw her post looking for runners, I immediately threw my name in the mix. This will be my third Hood to Coast, and I can confidently say it's one of the weirdest, most exhausting, and most fun things I've ever done. For those unfamiliar, Hood to Coast is a 200-mile relay from Mt. Hood to Seaside. Twelve runners. Two vans. Three legs each. A questionable amount of sleep. A truly unreasonable amount of snacks. Both times I've done it, most of my teammates started as complete strangers. Somewhere between the overnight runs, van conversations, cheering each other on at exchanges, and collectively wondering why we signed up for this, they became friends. We're not a competitive team. This is about having fun, meeting fellow Willamette grads, reconnecting with old friends, and sharing one of Oregon's most unique traditions. Whether you're an experienced runner or just someone who can jog a few miles and has a good sense of humor, we'd love to have you join us. It's honestly hard to explain why Hood to Coast is so special. You kind of have to experience it for yourself. If you've ever been HTC-curious, send me a message!! Noelle Matthews shared thisTuesday marked one year since I said goodbye to my sweet little Marshmellow. That day, I received a thoughtful note from the team at Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice acknowledging the anniversary and how loved ones lost may not be physically with us, but they continue to live on forever in our hearts. It meant a lot to me, and it reminded me of the post I wrote last year about the support they provided during one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. When mm's health was declining, I felt overwhelmed by the uncertainty. I didn't know how to evaluate his quality of life, what questions to ask, or how to know when it was time. Lap of Love gave me resources, guidance, and space to work through those decisions without pressure or judgment. If you're navigating the health of an aging or declining pet and don't know where to start, I can't recommend their team and resources enough. mm forever 💕🐾

Noelle Matthews shared this💛🚲🎉 With SoulCycle Inc. celebrating 20 years this past weekend, I found myself reflecting on a formative chapter in my career. In 2013, I helped open the Palo Alto studio as one of the early outside management hires. I actually got the call that I got the job while I was driving from Modesto to Portland. What was supposed to be a job-hunting trip turned into a quick weekend before heading out to New York for SoulCycle. Because I was coming in from the outside, I spent several months in New York before opening, fully immersed in the culture that made SoulCycle what it is. That kind of deep onboarding stuck with me. The best roles I’ve had since are the ones that take the time to make sure you really understand the business, the people, and how it all fits together. It was a fast-paced, all-in experience (including living in what was quite literally a closet!!), and one I look back on fondly. That time shaped how I think about team culture, community, and the importance of setting boundaries in high-energy environments. It also led to relationships I still value today. Some favorite memories that still make me smile: • Teaching arms in our one-year anniversary team class • Riding on the podium alongside some of the most athletic people I’ve ever met • Cheering on teammates at the San Francisco Marathon, long before I understood how much that kind of support means mid-race • Turning a simple internal “how-to” video into a full production with the entire team (and my dogs). It’s still on YouTube! • The Palo team taking our own “instructor photos” because we were fully Soul-obsessed Grateful for that chapter and everything it taught me. And yes, I did eventually find my way to Portland 😉

The New York Times profiled one of its members, who built an AI boyfriend using ChatGPT when her marriage was struggling. Now she is a moderator, dumped the chatbot, and is divorcing her husband to be with another man she met in the group. If married people are having relationships with chatbots or leaving their spouses for one, should family law attorneys draft chatbot infidelity clauses into prenups? The public debate surrounding this topic centers on whether chatbot companionship = cheating. I’m not qualified to weigh in on that, though it is an interesting question to debate in the group chat and makes for spicy dinner party fodder. Where might we see this collide with real life though? Chatbot spending. The AI “paramour” credit card charge is the new line item that is going to look much more important in the years to come. A few years ago, this may have looked like a partner racking up online gambling, or secret OnlyFans charges. Decades back, it was a crumpled dinner receipt, or a mystery hotel charge. New app, same paper trail. These days, your spouse’s next affair might not need another person. Just a subscription. At least the chatbot remembers your anniversary. The team came together to discuss the business, share challenges, align on key initiatives, and learn from one another. These in-person meetings serve as a reminder that the best solutions emerge from open discussions and collaboration across markets. A highlight of the trip was our visit to #Timberlab in Albany. It was both educational and inspiring to see a mass timber building firsthand and to learn more about the opportunities and challenges of this evolving construction method. A big thank you to Cory Chung for organizing the visit and to the Timberlab team for being such great hosts. On Day 2, we toured several projects in the Portland market, including a building where wall tilt-up has just begun on a former golf course, as well as a future four-building development planned on a reclaimed mining site. Each project presents its own unique challenges, and it was valuable to see how the team is creating value by transforming underutilized sites into future logistics facilities. Thanks to everyone who participated and shared their experiences. I look forward to putting these ideas into action.

Thank you to everyone came, opening a new park is not an easy feat (Go Team Parks & Rec!), we are so excited to be involved with the management of this park and honored to pay tribute to Darcelle XV/Walter Cole in this way. This park opening took a block that for years experienced the very worst of what was happening in the city (truly the definition of Urban Blight) by filling it with joy and life, we have changed the direction of this entire neighborhood. Each year, I also volunteer at the Wish Ball gala, assisting with guest check-in and other event logistics to help ensure the evening runs smoothly.
