Check out recent work we just published in Journal of Physical Chemistry C on using ellipsometric methods to determine the orientation ordering of nanorods in polymer films! This work was with Zahra Fakhraai, Russell Composto, and others. I always found it difficult to characterize the ordering of these nanorods. With EM, I always worried I was only seeing a small area rather than an actual bulk sample, plus sample prep is annoying. Here, with some simple ellipsometric methods and some math we can easily pull out the orientation of the nanorods in our films. Check it out if you are interested: https://lnkd.in/gjHWB9uj
