I wrote about the Frontiers in the Environment presentation, which highlights solutions-focused research on environmental issues. I also contributed to the quarterly print magazine, Ensia.

As president of Minnesota Lyme Association, I coordinate and facilitate board meetings, initiate and manage projects, and communicate and correspond with a variety of constituents: MLA members and partners; healthcare professionals; and legislators and agency administrators.

As coordinator of communications, I handle press releases, articles, response to articles and media contacts related to Lyme disease in Minnesota. I am also on the legislative committee and was a leader in the legislative effort in 2009 that lead the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice to issue a moratorium on investigating physicians solely on the basis of prescribing long-term antibiotics in the treatment of chronic Lyme disease.
