Over the past two years, I’ve gained invaluable experience across treasury solutions, client strategy, and the dedicated teams that bring these solutions to life. I’m especially grateful for the mentors and colleagues who have supported my growth along the way. I’m looking forward to this next chapter—continuing to build strong relationships, deliver meaningful solutions for clients, and grow with #TeamPNC.

Monica Mitchell liked thisMonica Mitchell liked thisAfter a lot of thought, and a ton of rejection, I’m excited to share that for the first time since October 2024, I’ve officially decided to pause my full time job search and focus entirely on building my small business, Maxbox Matchbox. To put it simply, the job market has been incredibly tough. Since leaving CBRE in October 2024, I’ve searched for opportunities everywhere, first in Amsterdam and later in New York. Over that time, I’ve applied to what I estimate to be more than 2,000 jobs and landed somewhere around 10 to 15 interviews. At the same time, this process has not deterred me from believing in myself. One thing the past 18 moths has reinforced is that there are many qualities that cannot always be captured on a resume or understood through an online application. I know I am smart, resourceful, creative, and hardworking. I have both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, years of professional and social experience, and a genuine ability to connect with people and create things that resonate with them. Those are qualities I believe matter, even if they are not always easy to quantify in a hiring process. I’ve been steadily growing my own business since December of 2023. What started as a creative project has grown to a point where I finally feel confident enough to bet on myself and see where this can go. There really doesn’t feel like a better time to take the leap and pursue the goal of being my own boss. So for now, LinkedIn, I’m no longer asking for help networking or finding roles. BREAKING: Bank of America is set to rake in a record $130M M&A advisory fee for its role advising Norfolk Southern on its $71.5B sale to Union Pacific. This marks the largest disclosed single-bank fee in history, topping the prior record set by JPMorgan’s $123M payout on AbbVie’s $63B acquisition of Allergan in 2019. The deal cements BofA’s position among the top global M&A advisors, where it currently ranks 4th by deal volume behind Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and Morgan Stanley.

Just Women's Sports
JPMorgan Chase is getting into the game, teaming up with some of the biggest names in women’s sports to help athletes manage their money. The firm launched its Athlete Council this week, alongside legends like Sue Bird, A’ja Wilson, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe. “Careers can be short and retirement unexpected. We want to develop a program by athletes for athletes to help them from college to professional sports to retirement,” said Kristin Lemkau, CEO of JPMorgan Wealth Management. “Every athlete on this Council has been deeply committed to paying it forward to help the more than 500,000 college, working and retired athletes avoid some of the same pitfalls they stepped in.” According to reports, less than 2% of NCAA athletes turn pro and most retire before age 35, while 65% of athletes report never receiving financial education. As part of the initiative, JPMorgan Chase is also spearheading the Athlete Center of Excellence, with programming “built for athletes, guided by athlete experience.” “Our goal is to truly empower the athletes of today — and tomorrow — with financial literacy throughout their career,” said Stevie Baron, head of private client banking at JPMorgan Chase. “We are excited to partner with some of the nation’s top athletes to deliver a fully integrated experience.”
