The value he brought was next level. With experience working with 700+ sales professionals and executives, teaching Strategic Leadership at the University of Arizona, and serving as an Honorary Commander at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base… you could tell immediately this was going to be impactful. 👏 It was a great education moment as he walked us through common sales objections and how to confidently navigate them not just theory, but real, practical approaches you can apply immediately in your conversations. We also heard from Silvia Bernman, a local realtor who specializes in probate, and the care she brings to helping families through those situations is truly something special. 🤝 It was also great seeing familiar faces like Frank Lopez Frank the TANK Lundin and bringing my guest Casey. I love introducing great people to an even greater community! A huge thank you to Don Zavis and G. “Gordy” Siewert for being such incredible hosts and for creating a free networking group that truly focuses on education and development. Mitch Pisik liked thisMitch Pisik liked thisMembrane proteins are major drug targets, but they are notoriously difficult to study because removing them from their natural lipid environment can change how they behave. This review ( https://lnkd.in/ghqUSr3b ) looks at how cryo-EM is tackling that problem using detergents, nanodiscs, liposomes, and other membrane-like systems. GDN, MNG detergents, and protein-based nanodiscs now lead the field, while digitonin use has dropped sharply. One surprising takeaway is that even nanodiscs, often considered close to native conditions, can still lock proteins into misleading shapes or alter their activity. The review also points to functional testing, cell-derived vesicles, and in situ cryo-EM as the next steps toward more biologically meaningful structures. It may seem like a simple step, but without an ID, many people cannot access housing assistance, employment opportunities, medical care, veteran services, or other critical resources. When people are unable to access support systems, the challenges facing our communities often grow. Throughout my career in law enforcement and crisis intervention, I have learned that lasting public safety comes from addressing root causes, not just responding to the symptoms. We cannot continue relying on band-aid fixes and expect different results. As Sheriff, I will focus on practical solutions that improve public safety, reduce barriers to services, and help connect people with the resources they need to become productive members of our community. Strong communities are built when we combine accountability with opportunity.

But to the person whose story is attached to it? Priceless. This is exactly how sales works. The Emotional Anchor Framework Step 1: Connect the product to their story Don't say: "This CRM has automation features" Say: "Remember you mentioned losing that $50K deal because the follow-up slipped through? This makes sure that never happens again." Step 2: Make them feel the outcome People don't buy products. They buy how it makes them feel: → Relief from stress → Pride in results → Confidence in their decision Step 3: Let the emotion justify the logic Once they're emotionally invested, price becomes secondary. They're not buying features. They're buying the story they tell themselves about what this solves. Why This Works: A stranger wouldn't pay $5 for that drawing. But the person whose memory it represents? A million. Same product. Different emotional context. Your job isn't to list features. It's to connect your solution to their pain, their goal, their story. Make it personal. Make it emotional. Then close. Facts tell. Stories sell.
