Fresenius had an outstanding Q2 and first half of 2024. Thanks to an excellent team effort, we were able to further reinforce the positive development from the previous quarters. Our financial figures for the second quarter show exactly this: Compared to the same quarter in the previous year, organic revenue before special items was up 8 percent to EUR 5.4 billion on the Group level. Operating earnings (EBIT) rose by an outstanding 15 percent to EUR 660 million in constant currency. I am particularly pleased that all Fresenius Kabi and Helios Health GmbH businesses contributed to these results, with a consistently strong performance over the past quarters. Through the disciplined implementation of #FutureFresenius, we are continuing to sharpen our focus and enhance our relevance. We are concentrating our strengths on our growth platforms (Bio)Pharma, MedTech, and Care Provision and enabling a growing number of people access to high-quality and affordable healthcare. Let me share some of our recent highlights: • We launched our new brand identity at the AGM in May and have started rolling it out across our Operating Companies. • We published our first Sustainability Highlights Report. • We held a Fresenius Helios Capital Markets Day to share the future strategy for our Care Provision platform with investors and analysts. • Helios Kliniken GmbH in Germany continues to expand its medical excellence clusters, among others through specialization, outpatient integration, and emergency care provision. • FORBES España business magazine named seven Quirónsalud hospitals among the 25 leading healthcare centers in Spain. Jiménez Díaz Foundation University Hospital is ranked #1, justified by its clinical research, technological innovations, leading medical staff, and diverse range of services. • Latest technologies applied at Quirónsalud hospitals include the use of magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) to treat deep brain regions for movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease or essential tremor. • After launching our tocilizumab biosimilar in the EU and US in Q1, we additionally launched a subcutaneous formulation in the US in Q2. • Our colleagues from Nutrition launched Fresubin® JUCY as the third ‘Foods for Special Medical Purposes’ (FSMP) product in China – a product category with promising growth potential in the country. • Our MedTech team won a multi-year contract for Agilia infusion pumps and sets in Italy. • Just recently, we started producing infusion solution products at our US plant in Wilson, North Carolina. Together, we are working on a new, strong Fresenius that improves people’s lives. The second quarter is further proof of a successful #TeamFresenius. We just published our results for Q2/24.   Based on an excellent first half of the year, we have confirmed our outlook for fiscal 2024 and are optimistic to get the Group EBIT growth into the upper half of 6 to 10% outlook range. 📈   Here are some of the key takeaways:   ◾ Strong organic growth in Group revenue of 8% to €5.4 billion; excellent Group EBIT increase in constant currency of 15% to €660 million. ◾ Strong bottom line delivery: 15% EPS growth in constant currency. ◾ Major progress on deleveraging: Leverage ratio at 3.43x and therefore within target corridor. ◾ Strong operating cash flow development driven by working capital efficiencies and increased focus on cash generation as well as excellent operating performance. ◾ Fresenius Kabi clearly above top-end of structural growth band with very strong organic revenue growth of 11%; excellent EBIT margin at 15.9%.   ◾ Biopharma accelerating momentum: very strong revenue growth and positive EBIT in Q2 driven by licensing business at mAbxience, as well as ongoing ramp up of Tyenne.  ◾ Fresenius Helios with strong organic revenue growth of 6%; excellent EBIT margin of 11.1% driven by excellent operating performance in Spain.    Find our full press release here: https://lnkd.in/eQbw6DzE #FinancialResults #Q2 #FutureFresenius #TeamFresenius   Disclaimer: The caption is without corresponding footnotes, which can be retrieved from the slides below.

At the same time, I am very pleased that with Sang-Jin Dr. Pak we were able to gain a recognized and proven biopharma expert with extensive international management experience to further develop the innovative strength and the momentum of our Biopharma platform. He will take over responsibility for the Biopharma business on Kabi’s Management Board on June 1, and therefore ensure a smooth transition. Our Biopharma business has developed excellently in the first quarter of this year. With the rapid market launch of our tocilizumab biosimilar in Europe and the U.S., we have recently achieved two major milestones. I am convinced that Dr. Sang-Jin Pak, together with a great team, will continue to drive our biopharma platform. We just introduced our new brand identity to our shareholders at today’s #AGM! With the new branding, we are presenting a whole new Fresenius at a decisive point in time. With #FutureFresenius, we have the right strategy in place and are making great progress. To leverage our full potential, we are strengthening our company culture and growing closer together as ONE team, with the Fresenius Principles as our common ground. Our new brand identity supports exactly this: the new Fresenius. Because regardless of where we work, we are all Fresenius! Externally, we want to create a consistent brand image and to be recognized as a leading global healthcare company. Which is why we have revamped all aspects of our brand image: the logos, colors and shapes, fonts and images. Particularly the bright, modern color palette fits perfectly into the digital world. The Fresenius Kabi, Helios Kliniken GmbH, and Quirónsalud logos will remain. However, they will be incorporated into the new Fresenius world visually so that it is always clear that we are ONE team.
