It’s incredible how involved the programming world is with one another on my first post involving this topic. Here’s a short update on how things are going today. I spent the day digging into data structures, going through documentation and watching a few solid breakdowns. Starting to reconnect with the basics, and realizing that I’m overthinking this, a lot. Often I think of code I believe fits best for the problem, yet tell myself “no, that can’t be right.” Turns out it mostly is and I’m just battling myself most of the time. I wrapped up a lab with mostly passes and landed at a 95/100. Not perfect, but it’s proving to me that the growth is there, I just need to get out of my own way. I will be going back in to fix the remaining issues and push for that 100/100 before submission. Next is Vectors!

Mortgage My Calculator

Home Mortgage Calculator is a simple calculator app that allows you to calculate your monthly payment simply by entering a few pieces of information, the price of the home, the down payment, the APR and the term of the loan. Then all you have to do is hit calculate and it will let you know what your monthly payment should be.

I've been quiet on LinkedIn while we reimagined how Squidler works. Here's what we realized: Your coding agent knows what you wanted to build. It has the full code and context for every feature you prompted and every user story you described. But it not great att verifying, especially not at runtime. It's not design to run your app, or reason around it, as a user would. Cursor, Lovable, Claude Code, Replit and the rest, have made the Build phase magical. The amazing teams behind these products have pushed Building further and faster than I ever expected. But Building and Verifying are different jobs. This is why we redesign the navigation and interface of Squidler to close the loop between the two. Now, your coding agent can use our MCP integration to describe user goals, based on what it implemented, in the same language your agent already thinks in. Squidler then executes them, as a user in a browser, and answers three core questions: * Does it work? i.e. can users actually achieve their goals? * Is it broken? i.e. does it pass our rule based runtime validation? * Is it easy? i.e. was is intuitive or hard to achieve the goals? Goal-driven. Runtime-verified. Your agent knows what you wanted, and with Squidler you can now check that you got it. Check the comments for demo and a link to try it.

Curious about checking out the quality of your PHP project, but don't know where to start? https://lnkd.in/eVcjW5uJ is a project providing docker images of various tools to help measure aspects of your PHP code. docker run --init -it --rm -v "$(pwd):/project" -v "$(pwd)/tmp-phpqa:/tmp" -w /project jakzal/phpqa phploc ./ will run the phploc tool on your current folder But... you can alias the tool, then simply run $ phpqa <toolname> <params> to run any of the tools on any code. No having to add any new dependencies to your composer, no modifications to existing code. #php #phpqa #refactoring

If you build a WordPress site and rely on the default PHP mailer to send emails, you are gambling. 50% of the time, that "Password Reset" or "New Order" email lands in Spam—or vanishes entirely. As a Digital Architect, I cannot afford for a client to ask, "Did the email go through?" That is why I use Postmark for all my transactional SMTP needs. Why Postmark? 1. Speed (Time-to-Inbox) Postmark is obsessive about speed. When a user clicks "Sign Up," the email hits their phone before they can even switch tabs. It feels instant. 2. The "VIP Lane" Most providers mix "Marketing Emails" (newsletters) with "Transactional Emails" (password resets). If someone else on the server spams a newsletter, your critical emails get delayed. Postmark separates them. I don't want my critical system alerts waiting in line behind 10,000 marketing flyers. 3. The Logs If an email fails, Postmark tells me exactly why. "The inbox was full." "They marked it as spam." It gives me engineering-level data, not just a generic error. The Setup: I simply connect Postmark to WordPress using a lightweight SMTP plugin. It takes 5-15 minutes, but it buys me 100% peace of mind. Stop trusting the default. Route your emails properly. In the world of web, WordPress is the slick salesman, and Drupal is the brilliant engineer who needs a haircut. Let me explain: I've been lucky enough to build and consult on Drupal projects for the last 15 years, and I've also done some WordPress work here and there. Any time I do WordPress, I'm always struck by how much better packaged it is, and I also feel like I'm constantly being upsold, like playing a mobiile game with an ad every 50 seconds. "You like this fraction of a module? Buy the upgrade for only $89/year and it may do a little more! Still struggling? Hey, we'll offer support for just $149/year!" Sound familiar? Drupal, on the other hand, has an incredibly rich ecosystem of user-contributed modules that provide crazy levels of free out-of-the-box functionality, plus a module system that allows unparalleled customization. But you can't walk into it as a new user and easily create something new. There are ways to start with profiles and pre-built implementations, but it's nowhere near where WordPress has gotten from a self-starting perspective, precisely (in my opinion) because they have gone all-in on profiting off modules and support. I have often recommended WordPress when I'm approached for a Drupal project because the two systems are complementary. Neither is superior to the other; they fill different niches. But I firmly believe that Drupal can fill more and broader niches more often if the we in the Drupal community keep working to make Drupal sites easy to run, maintain, configure, and use.
