Michaela Olson liked thisMichaela Olson liked thisWho knows what the “GPT” in ChatGPT actually stands for? I'm guessing very few people. And that's fine, most of us just know it as something that's suddenly everywhere. If you’re curious, it stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. As you know, it creates new content, learns from an enormous amount of text, and understands context rather than just keywords. But the more interesting question isn't what it stands for. It's what to actually make of it and how it will affect our lives. AI is genuinely useful for organizing information, finding patterns, and explaining things quickly. It can be a big timesaver. What it isn't good at is knowing you—your family, your goals, the tradeoffs that matter to you, and the context behind the numbers. That's the part that still requires a person. We're not AI experts. But paying attention to what our clients are hearing, reading, and wondering about is part of the job. If we can help make something feel a little less unfamiliar, that's worth doing. 🤝 Tell the truth, did you know what it stood for? They're defined by patterns of behavior and their impact on health and well-being, rather than by appearance. Medical risk can exist even when weight or labs look "normal." Language matters. Her symptoms resolved when the drug was stopped, only to return again upon rechallenge. Clinicians often see statins as safe and well-tolerated, but this case highlights a rare, under-recognized link between statin use and neuropsychiatric side effects, even at low doses.
