In this commentary published today in Evercore’s “State of the Market”, CMP co-founders Brooke Coburn and Adam Palmer make the case that because of Washington’s “dense regulations, inscrutable bureaucratic layers, [and] byzantine procurement processes”, there is a “tremendous and underappreciated market opportunity accessible to subject matter experts” such as CMP. When we considered merging TechnoMile with SIMS, the answer was clear. We read the NPS surveys and dug into the renewal data, and the picture was unmistakable: a customer base that had been choosing SIMS for 40 years and wasn't looking for a reason to leave. In an environment where regulatory and security requirements only get more stringent, that kind of trust doesn't happen by accident. After that, the capability fit was clear. TechnoMile helps government contractors and aerospace & defense organizations find, win, and manage government work. SIMS helps them secure the environments where that work gets done. For most defense businesses, these two sides of the business never lived on the same platform. Fail to manage the gap, and you're looking at regulatory review, fines, and in serious cases, debarment. We're building one connected system where defense and government contractors run their mission, and SIMS is an essential piece. I won't pretend the integration has been without challenges. Culture is always front and center. But the common thread among all employees is a genuine commitment to the mission – people who've sat in our customers' seats and understand what's actually at stake. Because there’s no substitute for real-world experience and AI needs context to be useful. Cathie joined SIMS in 2016 as Chief Administrative Officer, leading with discipline and purpose, and a deep commitment to supporting both employees and customers on their mission-critical objectives. This week I joined TechnoMile as Chief People and AI Enablement Officer. My career has lived at the crossroads of GovCon and high-growth SaaS. TechnoMile builds software purpose-built for the companies delivering on the government mission, and they’re embedding AI across their platform to help those customers operate faster, smarter, and more efficiently. When I looked at this opportunity, it didn’t feel like a pivot. It felt like a convergence. The role itself signals something intentional. Chief People and AI Enablement Officer isn’t a title you see everywhere yet. It reflects a belief I’ve held for a while: AI transformation isn’t a tools rollout. It’s a people and behavior change mandate. Someone has to own it at the executive level, and if you know me, you know how strongly I feel that the HR leader is the best person for the job! The growth story is what sealed it. TechnoMile is backed by Capitol Meridian Partners with a clear strategy for both organic growth and inorganic expansion, having just combined with SIMS Software. I’ve scaled people functions through M&A before. I know what it takes to integrate culture, systems, and teams without losing momentum. That’s not a challenge I shy away from. We’re excited to share that Lockheed Martin has joined us on our mission to mass produce portable nuclear reactors. This strategic investment through Lockheed Martin Ventures further oversubscribes Radiant’s current financing round and adds generations of defense and advanced technology expertise to our growing coalition of investors and partners. “Adding Lockheed Martin as a strategic investor adds a partner who deeply understands the operational environments where reliable, portable power is essential,” said Tori S., our Chief Operating Officer. “Gaining the confidence of a company with the breadth and depth of experience of Lockheed Martin is another proof point of our leadership in this space.” This latest investment, in combination with the hundreds of millions of dollars we raised last year, reflects deepening confidence from both financial and strategic partners in our path to commercialization and our ability to deliver on the world’s first mass-produced portable nuclear reactors. Today's news comes one week after our PDSA was approved by U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), seven weeks since we announced our Series D, two months since our first pressure vessel arrived at our headquarters in El Segundo, and a little over three months since we announced we'll build our first factory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. All this comes ahead of startup of our first reactor this summer at National Reactor Innovation Center | NRIC’s DOME facility at Idaho National Laboratory.
