Simply put, Data Cloud joins all your business data from any third-party app to worker identities in Rippling, and makes it available to Rippling AI so you can prompt your way to dashboards, workflows, or even Custom Apps built on top of your data. Everybody agrees a good AI strategy requires a good data foundation, but almost nobody has one. Your context is scattered across dozens of apps, and whatever system you're sitting in, you've got an incomplete picture of the questions that actually matter. Every business question starts with "what." The next one almost always starts with "who." Which sales segments are pacing behind this quarter? Which support teams have the fastest resolution times? Which stores are understaffed and bleeding overtime? The answer always depends on knowing who the data is about – their manager, their team, their role, and what all of that looked like at a specific point in time. The idea was simple: most investors should not spend their time analyzing individual stocks. - Instead, you pool the capital, let professionals manage the strategy, and collect the yield. - $30 trillion in indexed assets later, that approach is the default way the world invests. 📈 DeFi vaults apply the same idea to on-chain lending markets. - Investors deposit USDC once. - The vault allocates capital across lending venues, and returns interest rates to investors. - Curators such as Gauntlet monitor collateral health and rebalance lending caps when market conditions shift. 🧨 Not all vaults are the same Three major vault categories exist in DeFi, and the advertised APY rarely tells which risks are involved: 🔹 Lending vaults → deposit a stablecoin, earn from borrower interest. Risk: smart-contract exposure and collateral quality. 🔹 Liquidity provision vaults → pair two assets inside a decentralized exchange. Risk: impermanent loss (IL - the loss that occurs when the two asset prices diverge after deposit, which can wipe out the displayed yield). 🔹 Leveraged yield vaults → borrow against the deposit to amplify exposure. Risk: liquidation cascades, oracle dependency, and embedded directional bets that are not always disclosed. A vault advertising 17% can settle at -3% net due to impermanent loss that APY hides. 🏦 Why Nook, the vault allocation platform, offers only lending vaults? Lending vaults are the most transparent vault category: no leverage, no hidden impermanent loss, stablecoin-denominated returns, risk parameters that any can be audited on-chain. I first met Gerry Crispin almost 3 years ago at an ERE conference. His keynote explained how the job of the recruiter was going to be entirely remade due to the impact of AI. While 99% of the audience thought he was crazy, I found one of the few people who shared my view for the future. Now everyone agrees that future is happening and is only accelerating. To now be invited to CXR as a trusted expert on AI Interviewers and Fraud prevention is really full circle for me. I want to explain why. From the outside, payroll has always seemed simpler than it is. In reality, it’s full of hidden complexity for every company. One example is that payroll systems make you process each pay run two or more days in advance, which means you're constantly trying to jam things in before the cutoff. Spot bonuses are out of luck if they come in even a minute late, and need to be pushed to the next run. Your SDR team can't scale outbound because personalization breaks at volume. Writing custom emails for 200 prospects weekly is humanly impossible. So reps make a choice: send generic blasts that get 2% response rates, or cherry-pick 30 high-value accounts and leave pipeline on the table. Both options lose. The first trains prospects to ignore you. The second caps your growth at however many personalized touches one human can produce daily. The constraint isn't effort. It's that real personalization requires research, context synthesis, and message adaptation for every single prospect.
