Every customer has been a complete stranger. I wanted to build something from nothing. I bought the van. Sold the jobs. Installed the closets. To understand every role before asking someone else. Long walk across the cringe bridge. My sister and I built a million dollar company. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm writing because I've learned. Because I've made enough mistakes. I have no reputation to protect. If that sounds interesting, welcome.

Over the past two years, I balanced graduate school alongside a full-time career while also becoming a dad - an experience that made this milestone even more meaningful. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to travel to Morocco, consult with local and national organizations, and learn alongside a cohort of professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds. These experiences strengthened how I approach leadership and problem-solving and pushed me to grow both professionally and personally throughout the program. I’m grateful for everyone who supported me! Hook ’em 🤘

Matthew Kudla liked thisMatthew Kudla liked thisMost of what I’ve shared here has been about momentum. Funds closing. Technology working. Innovation under fire. The fastest defense ecosystem in the world, built in a country being attacked every night. All of that is real. And then there are days like yesterday. The city shook for hours. Ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, hundreds of drones — the largest combined attack since the start of the war, days after Putin signaled the war was ending and Washington said a deal was close. By morning a residential block in Darnytskyi had collapsed onto the people sleeping inside. 24 hours later they were still searching for bodies. A few hours later I was walking through Mezhyhirya — the estate Viktor Yanukovych built for himself with stolen money. A gilded zoo, a galleon restaurant on a private lake, a private golf course, marble everywhere. When the Maidan Revolution drove him into exile in Moscow in 2014, Ukrainians did something remarkable. They preserved it exactly as he left it and opened the gates. A monument to the thing they had just defeated, kept intact so no one could forget what corruption actually looks like when it metastasizes into a government. Rubble on one side of the city. A museum of kleptocracy on the other. Both are evidence in the same case. This is what the people I live among are fighting for, and what they are fighting against. A nation that chose rule of law, painfully, defending that choice in real time against an enemy whose entire political model is preserved in the rooms behind me in this photo. I keep thinking about this when I see Americans confused about why any of it matters — including the current confusion over Iran. The Ukrainian answer is the clearest one I know. You can see, in a single afternoon, what self-determination looks like when a people are willing to die for it. And what the alternative looks like when a regime is willing to kill for it. Two things can be simultaneously true. Kyiv is one of the most beautiful places I have ever lived. And every day you are reminded that without the bravery and sacrifice of the people defending it, none of it would remain.
