One section is Monday mornings in FDL, another Tuesday morning in West Bend, and a third on Wednesday morning in FDL. I teach the Monday and Tuesday classes, one of our other instructors teaches the Wednesday class. These classes are part of our Electro-Mechanical Technician program, as well as our Quality and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies program. But, they also serve as great stand alone classes for people working in manufacturing with or around Fanuc Robots, or people who just want to learn more about new technology. This week's episode celebrates American Freedom, Courage, Righteousness, Sacrifice, Honor and Conviction via JFK's words at Rice University and Reagan's at Point du Hoc. As for the photo - the Kennedy book is "The Torch is Passed", a book on the tragic Kennedy assassination that captivated me as a child and above it another favorite, The Reagan Diaries, from Ronald Reagan's 8 years as President. I find Kennedy's line at Rice on 9/12/62, “We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon and do the other things not because they are easy but because they are hard,” eminently inspiring. On the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc on the 6/6/84 somber 40th anniversary of D-Day and before 62 veterans who scaled those cliffs Reagan delivered, "You all knew that some things are worth dying for. One’s country is worth dying for, and democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man." On this the 250th Birthday of our great nation may we be reminded not of what divides, but of the values that bind us together as Americans! Each summer our companies underwrite 100% of the cost (closing in on 600 completers) of 40 hours of advanced manufacturing training so teachers and trainers can bring emerging tech to their classrooms and labs. If you're a present customer, a future customer or will NEVER be a customer this training is free. Our MISSION is that important. This morning I had the honor of kicking of this week's edition at our Tech Center in Mequon. Gratitude to K. Eric Paulsen of Cotter Schools for leading the effort and "training the trainer" this week and to these dedicated instructors, teachers and workforce trainers for taking time out of their busy summers to remain committed to lifelong learning and their students. The theme of my presentation was "Without Industry 4.0 Technology there is no FUTURE for AI". We drove home the point that at the center of Physical AI and Applied AI are the smart sensors, smart devices, control systems, fog and cloud technology these educators are learning this week. The future is bright for their students and learners thanks to the dedication of these tremendous people. #securethedream

It all started in Hialeah, Florida during the pandemic with the intent of creating a sense of belonging for our new students at Miami Dade College. Today, the tradition continues at Milwaukee Area Technical College as I celebrate my two year work anniversary. I love this tradition because visiting and welcoming our new students is one of the most meaningful ways I can show they matter. It helps create a genuine sense of belonging, builds trust from the start and reminds our students that they are valued members of the MATC community. #senseofbelonging #community #trust #students #college
