Mary Senic reposted thisMary Senic reposted thisOn the eve of our inaugural home race at Miami this weekend, Cadillac Design is proud to reveal the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series — 26 ultra-exclusive, 685-hp, manual-only sedans created in recognition of our F1 endeavors, translating our first season on the grid into a road-going sculpture ensuring the Blackwing’s commitment to the art of driving. Finished in Midnight Stone Frost with carbon fiber lower bodywork highlighted by a Switchblade Silver pinstripe, Carbon Flash Metallic wheels and Harbor Gray calipers, every detail echoes the Cadillac Formula 1 livery — from F1 and FIA logos integrated into the bodywork and supercharger cover to the crafted headrests and shifter medallion. This is V-Series design at its most focused, created to celebrate a new era for Cadillac in Formula 1. The interview process alone was hands down the best interview experience I’ve had in my career. I was left so impressed with the process and people that I can’t WAIT to start building relationships and rolling up my sleeves. And getting to work for a CEO like Mary Barra? That’s the cherry on top. Here’s to new beginnings. 🚗✨ “the General Motors chief remains the highest-ranked automotive executive on the annual list and continues to stand among the most influential leaders in global business. Fortune highlighted Barra’s ability to steer the Detroit-based automaker through a difficult year shaped by tariffs, shifting federal emissions policy, and softer-than-expected EV demand. The publication pointed to GM’s $185 billion in revenue and its strongest U.S. market share performance in a decade as major factors in keeping Barra near the top of the rankings. Few CEOs have navigated as many simultaneous headwinds as Mary Barra over the past year,” Fortune wrote in its profile accompanying the rankings. The outlet also credited Barra for taking what it described as a “characteristically methodical” approach to rising tariff pressures and manufacturing uncertainty. That strategy included a planned $4 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing operations, alongside moves to relocate production of the Chevy Blazer and Chevy Equinox from Mexico to domestic facilities. Fortune also noted that GM implemented roughly $2 billion in cost reductions while continuing to push forward with its long-term electrification plans. Although GM has adjusted parts of its EV strategy in response to market demand, the automaker still posted notable growth in the segment during 2025. According to Fortune, GM sold nearly 170,000 electric vehicles in the U.S. last year, a 48 percent year-over-year increase. That performance kept the automaker in the No. 2 position for EV sales behind Tesla.”

Mary Senic reacted on thisMary Senic reacted on thisAnother trip around the sun 💫 In the past, I would have booked a PTO day (it’s my ONE DAY!) and disconnected from all work comms. This year, I blocked my calendar in advance, intending to do the same. But the night before, I realized I didn’t want to. I’m in build mode with Vis Talent Partners and really having fun with this stage (read: it’s super hard). Some weeks I question whether I’m focused on the right things, and I don’t have my corporate safety net to catch me. Yet for the first time in years, I spent the morning of my birthday intentionally and happily working. And it was right where I wanted to be. I’m not a complete workaholic though, I did get away for an afternoon hike and sushi dinner. Two of my favorite things, with my favorite people. Cheers to a new year! 🥂

Or as we call it in tech right now: about 45 product cycles, 10 major organizational shifts, and approximately one million discussions about AI. Jokes aside, looking back at how much we’ve packed into 24 months, it really has been a wild and rewarding ride. I joined two years ago focused on building for our next chapter—scaling our team, focusing on our design craft, and building the kind of trust with our product and engineering partners that lets us ship great things together. We’ve navigated a ton of change, moved through a massive technology shift, and adapted to some really complex pivots along the way. It hasn’t always been easy, but figuring out those twists and turns as a team is where the real growth happens. For me, a great career has always come down to three simple things: ❤️ Work with people you love. 🧠 Work on complex, interesting problems. 💥 Have a real, measurable impact. I’m incredibly grateful to Amy Lokey for bringing me into this chapter, to Dantley Davis for the leadership and partnership, to amazing peers, and above all, to a world-class design team that shows up and does the hard work every single day. At the end of the day, no matter how fast the technology moves, it’s always about the people. Excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible! 🚀
