Maria B. shared thisMaria B. shared thisThis past weekend, I graduated with a B.S. in Supply Chain & Information Systems and a minor in Information Systems Management from the Penn State Smeal College of Business. Although it was not the graduation day I had imagined, I can only look back and smile at the countless memories I have made over the past four years. From traveling to Dallas, Texas with my friends and watching the football team win the Cotton Bowl, to working alongside my Supply Logistics Captain Committee and seeing Penn State THON™ raise over $11 million all for the kids, I have had many amazing experiences that I will cherish forever. Thank you to my professors, classmates, family, and friends who have supported me every step of the way. Despite today's uncertainties, this is only the beginning and I'm excited to see what the future holds as I continue my search for full-time employment. I am forever grateful for Penn State and am proud to join the largest alumni network in the world! We Are! #PSUgrad #Smealgrad #classof2020

Maria B. liked thisMaria B. liked thisI'm incredibly grateful to share that I've graduated Cum Laude from Drexel University College of Computing & Informatics as a member of the Pennoni Honors College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a minor in Technology Innovation Management. A decade ago, my family and I moved from Pakistan to the United States. Looking back, it's incredible to see how much life has changed since then. Adjusting to a new country, culture, and school system wasn't always easy, but it taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of embracing new opportunities. When I started at Drexel, I never imagined where the next four years would take me. Along the way, I discovered a passion for working at the intersection of technology, business, and fashion. Through experiences ranging from software engineering and business analytics to merchandising and sales, I discovered a career that brings together everything I'm passionate about. Today, I'm fortunate to be building my career at Centric Brands, where I get to combine data, strategy, creativity, and technology every day. Outside the classroom, I was fortunate to serve as Education Director of Alpha Sigma Alpha, Vice President of Order of Omega, Student Coordinator for Drexel CCI's DEI Council, mentor students through Drexel summer programs, and be inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the international honor society for computing and information disciplines. Some of my favorite memories came through the Pennoni Honors College. The courses challenged me to think beyond my major by exploring sustainability, innovation, science communication, leadership, and the ways technology can help solve real-world problems. They reminded me that the best learning often happens when you're willing to explore beyond your own discipline. Looking back, I'm proud not only of the degree I earned, but of the person I've become. This journey showed me that I don't have to choose between technology, business, and creativity. I can build a career that brings all three together. Most importantly, thank you to my parents Floyd Francis Faria, MBA - Workplace Mental Health Champion Cassandra Fernandes for their unwavering support and for every sacrifice they made to create new opportunities for our family. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and giving me the confidence to pursue every opportunity that came my way. To my family, friends, professors, mentors, coworkers, and everyone who supported me along the way, thank you. Your encouragement, guidance, and belief in me made this achievement possible. Here's to the next chapter. 🎓💙💛

❓ “Can I scale my knitwear orders safely—without quality falling apart?” If you’re sourcing knitwear, this question isn’t theoretical. It’s a decision that can make—or break—your next season. Because scaling knitwear production isn’t about selling more. It’s about whether your manufacturing system can survive growth. 🧠 An uncomfortable truth: Most knitwear production failures don’t happen on the first order. They happen right when brands move from sampling to bulk production. 📈 When orders increase, 🧵 consistency gets tested, ⏱ lead times tighten, 🔍 and quality gaps start to show. ⚙️ Why scaling knitwear production often fails Many factories are excellent at: ✔ Knitwear sampling ✔ Small MOQ development ✔ One-off fashion drops But bulk knitwear manufacturing requires a different capability set: 1️⃣ Is the knit structure truly repeatable across batches? 2️⃣ Are yarn specs, tension, and gauge fully standardized? 3️⃣ Is quality control built during knitting, not after finishing? 4️⃣ Can multiple knitting machines deliver identical hand-feel and fit? 5️⃣ Can the factory manage short lead-time replenishment without rushing? 📌 Volume isn’t the risk. Uncontrolled systems are. 🔥 Our belief at Hengrun Knitwear If a knitwear factory can only perform at 10,000 pcs, it will eventually fail at 100,000 pcs. Safe scaling comes from: ✔ Process-driven knitwear production ✔ Yarn-to-garment traceability ✔ Machine-level consistency control ✔ Structured QC checkpoints ✔ Gradual volume validation—not sudden jumps This is how fashion brands scale knitwear collections without overstock, rework, or quality disputes. 📣 If you’re planning to scale knitwear production, especially for: children’s knitwear fashion knitwear collections private label knitwear OEM / ODM knitwear manufacturing 👇 Comment “SCALE” or DM us to discuss real production scenarios—no sales pitch, just insights. #knitwearmanufacturer #knitwearproduction #knitwearfactory #knitwearsourcing #oemknitwear #odmknitwear #fashionknitwear #childrensknitwear #bulkknitwear #textilemanufacturing #apparelsupplychain #hengrunknitwear

Health-first apparel is no longer a niche — it’s becoming the standard. Today’s consumers expect more than style: • Skin-safe fabrics • Responsible material choices • Comfort that supports hormones, movement, and confidence As manufacturers and sourcing partners, our role is to translate these values into scalable, compliant, and commercially viable garments — without compromising quality or ethics. The future of activewear and leisurewear belongs to brands that design with both performance and wellbeing in mind. #HealthFirstFashion #ActivewearInnovation #ResponsibleManufacturing #FutureOfApparel

Cotton vs Blends is a decision every global apparel buyer has to make at some point. Over the past few years, I’ve seen how much impact the right fabric choice can have on comfort, print performance, durability, and overall customer satisfaction. What seems like a simple decision can change the entire direction of a T-shirt program. I just published a new article breaking down this topic clearly for international buyers: 👉 What cotton delivers 👉 When blends perform better 👉 Regional preferences across USA, EU, Middle East and Australia 👉 How to choose based on climate and end use 👉 How we guide buyers at Mirthuni Apparel with fabric testing and mill coordination If you work with private label T-shirts, uniforms, promotional wear, or retail basics, this guide will be genuinely useful. Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/gYSvGyET Happy to discuss fabric selection for your upcoming projects as well. #CottonVsBlends #ApparelSourcing #TShirtManufacturing #TextileIndustry #GlobalBuyers #PrivateLabelClothing #FashionSupplyChain #Tiruppur #GarmentManufacturing #FabricSelection #Merchandising #SourcingManager #ExportQuality #MirthuniApparel #ProductDevelopment

Fabric quality in corporate apparel is not about softness or GSM. It is about predictability, durability, and consistent performance over time. This piece explains why true quality shows after months of real use, and how Blossoms PPC approaches fabric as long term operational infrastructure https://lnkd.in/gSK8h_yk

Being in the apparel manufacturing industry has taught me an important lesson: Most production problems aren’t caused by factories. They’re caused by unclear or delayed decisions. When designs keep changing, when Brands are unsure of what they want, when quantities are guessed, when timelines are built on hope, production gets blamed for outcomes it didn’t choose. Once cutting starts, there’s very little room to fix anything. The factory can only execute what’s been locked. The smoother projects are always the same. Clear inputs. Decisions made at the right time. No last-minute heroics. This isn’t new thinking. Factories that have survived decades learned it early. At Limton, we’ve been building production this way for over 50 years. Not by chasing volume. But by running disciplined processes that leave less to chance. Good manufacturing isn’t loud. It’s predictable. And that’s what brands actually rely on and need from the supplier: predictability and clarity over volume capability. #sourcing #apparelmanufacturing #production
