One of the best parts of this opportunity is reconnecting with so many exceptional colleagues and close friends from my many years at SAP. As it turns out, careers have a funny way of coming full circle. Fifteen years ago, I was the SAP Account Executive responsible for the Deloitte relationship. Today, I’m incredibly fortunate to be joining the Deloitte team itself. There’s probably a law of professional gravity that explains this. . . I’m looking forward to helping strengthen the partnership between Deloitte and SAP while working with an extraordinary team to deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients. Together, we have the privilege of serving organizations that power industries, create jobs, and drive the global economy. A sincere thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. Hybrid events are never easy to orchestrate, but connecting our extended Partner Ecosystem Success teams for the Q3 All Employee Meeting reinforced what unites us all: a shared purpose to grow SAP’s ecosystem and deepen our commitment to customer success. With around 60 colleagues joining us onsite at SAP’s HQ alongside more than 1,200 participants tuning in virtually from around the world, we came together as one team, aligned on our priorities and energized for the quarter! It was a privilege to hear directly from Thomas Saueressig, Chief Customer Officer and Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, and Sebastian Steinhaeuser, COO and Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, who shared their perspectives on the exciting opportunities ahead and the critical role our ecosystem plays in driving customer success. Our “Momentum Panel” highlighted how teams thrive in this AI era and we even got a personalized tour of our very own SAP Joule Work desktop. Several messages stood out: ➡️ Be bold. Be proactive. Be AI-driven. ➡️ Accelerate the transformation of our ecosystem for the AI era. ➡️ Learn today. Lead tomorrow. A special thank you to Peter Winkelmolen for expertly moderating the session and creating such an engaging event. Lorelei Driscoll liked thisLorelei Driscoll liked this40 years. 600-plus implementations. People keep asking when I'll retire. I'll tell you what I told them. I'm 40 years into this. The question comes up a lot now. "Ralph, you've done a lot of these. Don't you want to stop?" The honest answer is I tried to picture retirement. Golf. A boat. Slowly explaining to my grandkids what an ERP is and watching their eyes glaze over the way my wife's friends do. And then a client calls with a genuinely interesting mess, and I light up like it's my first project. My wife has a theory. She says I don't have a job, I have a personality, and you can't retire from a personality. She's probably right. After all these implementations, the software stopped being the interesting part years ago. The people are the interesting part. The owner who finally lets go of the old way. The team that clicks. The CFO who calls eight months later just to say thank you. That never gets old. So no, I'm not retiring. Someone's brother-in-law is about to go live in October and he's going to need me. They always do.
