Loveson Joseph liked thisLoveson Joseph liked thisToday I turned 50, and I’ve spent just over half of my life working in HR. I’ve seen the profession go from filing cabinets and gut instinct to people analytics and AI assisted hiring. I’ve sat in rooms where HR had no voice and then I’ve sat at tables where HR helps build cultures and leads conversations. Three decades of perspective gives you the amount to see many different things. The one thing that I have seen, however is that this function matters. When it is done well, it actually changes lives. So while the tools, the language, and the stakes have all changed, the mission of human resources has not. Find ways to invest in people and you will watch them succeed and give back. What I’m looking forward to? Learning from the new generation in the workforce, hybrid work and AI finding their place, and doing the best work of my career in the next decade plus.

It was built on showing up, rolling my sleeves up, figuring it out. Fixing things when they broke. Doing my absolute best for the people who trusted me.
