Liza O'Connor shared thisIn one month, I will be participating in RideAtaxia Philadelphia to raise money for the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) in support of my sister. Friedreich's Ataxia is a rare neuromuscular disease affecting ~5,000 people in the United States. I'm proud to be a part of FARA's efforts to improve the lives of those living with FA and am grateful that my work at Shields Health Solutions focuses on helping patients like my sister access their specialty medications and achieve better outcomes. I'm 22% towards my fundraising goal of $7,500 - please support here: https://lnkd.in/e7KfBJXC #curefa #RideAtaxia #raredisease

Liza O'Connor liked thisEvenings like these remind me why this work matters so deeply. It was truly an honor to attend the 34th Annual Black & Red Gala with colleagues and partners who are so committed to advancing healthcare and strengthening our communities. As a corporator of Hartford HealthCare and a member of the Black & Red Committee, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the passion and dedication that goes into this mission. To witness the community come together and raise more than $4 million in support of patient care and innovation was incredibly moving. Proud to stand alongside organizations and leaders who continue to lead with heart, purpose, and impact. Grateful to work alongside teams and partners who continue to elevate healthcare through innovation, compassion, and service. #HartfordHealthCare #TeamShields #CommunityImpactLiza O'Connor liked thisHonored to stand alongside those committed to advancing Health, Healing, and Community. Liza O'Connor liked thisLiza O'Connor liked thisFriday was my last day at Shields Health Solutions, an incredible healthcare company I’ve had the privilege of working at for eight and a half years. During this time I’ve made some of the most meaningful professional relationships of my life and want to thank my team (go Pop Health!), Shields leadership, and everyone I had the chance to work with at the company over the years. Looking back, one of the things I am most grateful for was the bandwidth Shields gives to its employees to innovate. Because of this I had the opportunity to work alongside some incredibly talented individuals to move our specialty pharmacy care model into diabetes, COPD and heart failure, demonstrate the impact of our model in value-based care, push the boundaries of what a clinical pharmacist can be to a patient, help our pharmacies become DME providers and also share our work with the broader healthcare community. I’ll be taking some time to recharge and reflect this summer and look forward to taking some of that time to reconnect with many of you.

Liza O'Connor liked thisLiza O'Connor liked thisWe’re excited to announce a new collaboration with University Hospitals, one of the nation’s leading academic health systems. Together, we’re bringing Fullscript directly into Epic to help providers recommend high-quality supplements within their existing workflow. That means more visibility, easier access, and a simpler experience for both providers and patients. As more patients incorporate supplements into their routines, this collaboration helps ensure patients have a single, trusted source for safe, affordable supplements. This is another step forward in making whole person care more connected, accessible, and actionable. 🔗 Read the full announcement on Business Wire: https://bwnews.pr/4wloK9v

Liza O'Connor liked thisLiza O'Connor liked thisExcited to be co-hosting our State of Consumer 2026: Market Insights event tomorrow at TikTok HQ, alongside our brilliant partners at Boots UK (Grace Vernon) and TikTok Shop (Ed Gilmartin)! This event has been a long time in the making—born out of a year of conversations around how consumer brands are actually being built and scaled today. From early-stage ideation to global growth, the playbooks are evolving fast, and we wanted to bring those real, behind-the-scenes insights into one room. We’ll be joined by an incredible mix of founders, investors, corporate leaders, and platform experts to unpack what’s really driving success in the consumer space right now—from cracking the TikTok algorithm and omnichannel growth, to investment readiness and the rise of conscious consumerism. At HSBC Innovation Banking , we spend every day working with founders across that “wobbly J-curve” of growth—so creating a space for honest conversation, practical insight, and meaningful connection felt like a natural next step. The goal is simple: leave with a few actionable ideas, a few new connections, and a clearer view of where consumer is heading next. Liza O'Connor liked thisThis has been years in the making and I couldn't be more proud and excited for this announcement. Thank you to everyone who made this deeper collaboration with University Hospitals possible. And we are just getting started....Liza O'Connor liked thisSome milestones feel like starting lines. Proud to share Fullscript’s new collaboration with University Hospitals. But even more excited to see where the path ahead leads. We built Fullscript on the idea that technology could empower a stronger patient-provider connection. But we know the importance of consistent clinical workflows. By integrating Fullscript into University Hospitals' Epic workflow, providers can now recommend supplements more seamlessly, with better visibility and coordination across care teams. The fact is patients are already making decisions about supplements. This integration makes it easy for providers to lead that conversation, ensuring those choices are guided, connected and clinically sound. All without adding complexity or confusion to their clinical workflow. 🔗Read more about the collaboration here (https://lnkd.in/efexqPiW)University Hospitals Integrates Fullscript into EHR to Streamline Supplement Recommendations and Give Doctors Better Insight into Patients’ ActionsUniversity Hospitals Integrates Fullscript into EHR to Streamline Supplement Recommendations and Give Doctors Better Insight into Patients’ Actions

Liza O'Connor liked thisLiza O'Connor liked thisAnother Green Sports Alliance Summit in the books 💚 This year, Monika Dharia had the opportunity to speak about sustainable procurement and the questions we should be asking our vendors. Procurement isn’t just about choosing between options, it’s about deciding which standards we’re willing to accept in the first place. That gap between what we ask and what we assume is where a lot of sustainability work either gets lost or unlocked. It's always a pleasure connecting with everyone at the Summit. Thank you to Green Sports Alliance, see you again next year!

A newly proposed bill in California could signal a shift in healthcare M&A. AB 1415 would require state notification for private equity acquisitions of healthcare entities, if signed into law. The legislation points to a broader trend of increased regulatory oversight that could influence dealmaking across the US. For investors, success in this evolving landscape will require navigating greater transparency and demonstrating how transactions contribute positively to the healthcare ecosystem. The quality of future deals will be measured not just by financial returns, but by their alignment with regulatory expectations and their impact on patient care. Medtech is having a moment, and the data in both reports suggests it is more than cyclical. Bain puts medtech buyout deal value at an estimated $33 billion in 2025, nearly doubling the prior year, with volume up nearly 20% to 88 deals. Blackstone and TPG's $18.3 billion take-private of Hologic accounted for more than half of that total, and Carlyle's acquisition of Vantive, the renal care business carved out from Baxter, was another signal transaction. Bain notes that medtech has shown outsized growth since 2020 and that investors are successfully deploying proven value-creation playbooks centered on revenue growth, margin expansion, and multiple expansion through carve-outs and public-to-private structures. Healthcare IT produces the highest MOIC in Bain's analysis at 2.3x median, but medtech's 1.9x median and 17% IRR across buyout deals since 2017 reflects a maturing and credible asset class with durable return characteristics, particularly in large-scale transactions where PE ownership adds genuine operational value. McKinsey's operating environment analysis adds the demand context. The shift of care to ambulatory and home settings, expanded ASC procedure approvals, and the Rural Health Transformation Program's $50 billion in technology-linked federal funding all create sustained device and infrastructure demand. On the risk side, Section 232 tariffs and most-favored-nation pricing introduce real cost exposure for manufacturers with global supply chains. The companies that anticipated supply chain localization are structurally better positioned than those responding reactively. The executive talent angle here is one I watch closely. The most sought-after leaders in medtech right now are those who built operational resilience during the COVID-era supply chain dislocation and who have since demonstrated the commercial acuity to drive growth in an ASC and home-care-led market. That combination of supply chain credibility, site-of-care commercial fluency, and technology integration experience is genuinely rare at the platform CEO and COO level.
