2024 taught me that great leadership in construction education means building bridges between tradition and innovation. From taking a drone photo of our faculty retreat to watching ASTRO demonstrate robotics to prospective students, every moment reinforced that our strength comes from combining technical excellence with human connection.
This year marked significant growth for our
Georgia Tech School of Building Construction:
• Expanded student opportunities through new international programs and industry partnerships
• Launched innovative study abroad initiatives in South Korea
• Strengthened our Corporate Partners Program with leading construction firms
• Enhanced our robotics and technology integration in construction education
• Welcomed record participation in our Pre-College Summer Program
Three moments that captured our journey:
"Today is a bright new day in Atlanta, and in the Georgia Tech School of Building Construction." On embracing the opportunity to serve as Interim Chair and continue our tradition of excellence.

"We are an awesome team aimed at serving our students to ensure their academic success." On kicking off Fall 2024 with our faculty retreat (captured by drone, of course 😊).

"Study abroad in our Georgia Tech School of Building Construction is back!" On expanding global opportunities for our students through new programs in South Korea.
Looking ahead to 2025: We're focused on expanding our programs, deepening industry partnerships, and continuing to innovate in construction education. Our commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service remains unwavering as we prepare the next generation of construction leaders.
To our dedicated faculty, staff, students, and industry partners - thank you for making 2024 a remarkable year of growth and innovation. The future of building construction starts here at Georgia Tech.
Go Jackets, Go Build 😊
