Kiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisKiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisSecurity doesn't stop at organizational boundaries. One of the biggest lessons I've learned as a security leader is that your security posture is only as strong as the ecosystem around you. At Microsoft, our partners play a critical role in helping customers succeed. They also represent a responsibility. That's why we're continually raising the bar on partner security through - Robust Partner Vetting - Enforcing strong security Posture - Least-privilege access - Continuous monitoring In my latest Deputy CISO blog, I share how we're working to strengthen security across our partner ecosystem and why every organization should treat partner platforms as a core part of its security strategy, because protecting customers means protecting the ecosystem that serves them. 👉 Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/g39FPi3a #CISO #CyberSecurity #PartnerEcosystem #MicrosoftSecurity #ZeroTrust #IncidentResponse #SecurityLeadershipImproving security posture across the Microsoft partner ecosystem | Microsoft Security BlogImproving security posture across the Microsoft partner ecosystem | Microsoft Security Blog

Kiruthika Selvamani liked thisVery important point from Ryan, state of the art is for humans to setup loops that AI can independently execute, these are important, but turning companies and teams into ever more isolated individuals who only talk to AI not only feels dystopian, I am living this myself right now :), but ultimately is missing on what is possible when people can loop together, this will be the future, it has to be :).Kiruthika Selvamani liked thisThe future of work isn't a thousand people getting really good at being alone...

Kiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisKiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisTwo years ago, I became a farmer. Nobody who knows me saw that coming, including me. My EA Tina Kyllonen got me started. I loved the fresh produce from her little farm so much that she encouraged me to try a veggie bed of my own. I was never a gardener and had almost zero interest, so I hesitated at first. But with enough curiosity and encouragement, I started one. And quickly, in typical Joy fashion, one small box wasn't enough. I scaled to 4 within the first season. I went ambitious right out of the gate, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, you name it. And I started in Fall 2023, in the Pacific Northwest! Naturally, I learned a few hard lessons. ➡️ Don't scale too fast. Start small with easy growers like zucchini and tomatoes. ➡️ In the Northwest, spring is much easier than fall. But nurseries will sell you whatever they have in inventory. ➡️ Every season is different, new weather, new challenges. Last year, my second, I had to fend off an invasion of rats, which took some serious camera detective work. Plus the usual birds and squirrels. ➡️ Don't be greedy. When the season starts, every starter plant looks so tiny. Since I don't love following instructions, I'm slowly learning not to overcrowd, still a work in progress. ➡️ Patience. All good things take time and care. Water, good soil, and patience are the real virtues. So why am I sharing my farming journey? Because this is a season for beginners and entrepreneurs. Just like being a new farmer, every new beginning asks for curiosity, learning, and a willingness to pivot. What's your farming story, and what has it taught you? #Entrepreneurship #Startup #Beginner

Kiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisKiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisI am excited to share that today I am joining Uber. This is a pivotal time for the industry, as AI is redefining what is possible in both the digital and physical worlds. What drew me to Uber is the rare opportunity to bring AI to a global platform that already touches everyday life at extraordinary scale: how people move, how goods are delivered, how earners find opportunity, and how businesses serve their customers. Uber sits at a remarkable intersection of technology, mobility, work, and the real world. Advances in AI can translate directly into more reliable services, better experiences, smarter operations, new forms of flexible work, and– best of all – entirely new possibilities across mobility, delivery, autonomy, and beyond. I have always been motivated by AI and technology not as ends in themselves, but by their ability to create meaningful impact at scale. I cannot think of a better place to help bridge the digital and physical worlds with AI, and to help shape the future of how people, goods, services, and work move through the world. I look forward to partnering with our CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga and the Uber Executive Leadership Team to shape Uber's next chapter of AI Innovation. PS - This is young me engineering my first ridesharing experience. Uber Engineering

Kiruthika Selvamani reacted on thisYesterday I sat down with Lucien Engelen to discuss how #MicrosoftTeams for #Frontline is helping nurses and clinicians deliver better patient outcomes. A few themes that really stood out: 1. 🩺 Better communication = better care When the right caregiver can be reached at the right moment, outcomes improve - faster care, shorter wait times, fewer negative events. - With Teams, easily reach the person on shift for a role - no need to know rosters or phone numbers - Move from “inform” → “inform and act” with tracking for acknowledgments and follow-through (critical for recalls, alerts, etc.) - Call a function (e.g., “respiratory therapy”) instead of a specific person using Teams Phone + call queues - Integrate directly with EHR systems to enable faster, in-context care team consults, securely - Foster the connection with leadership - even across night shifts so everyone feels connected and seen 2. 💙 Reducing healthcare worker burnout improves patient outcomes Less admin overhead = more time spent where it matters most: patient care. - Balance workloads, manage rosters and makes shift allocation more equitable with Smarter scheduling in Teams. No more manual juggling of qualifications, time off, and patient load - Reduces cognitive load from app switching - access schedules, paystubs, intranet, and more without breaking flow - Enable voice communication at the press of a button with Push to talk functionality 3. 🤖 Mobile AI, built for clinicians on the move AI is meeting care teams where they are - on the floor, in motion, in real time. - Navigate evolving policies and protocols with always-available answers - Enables hands-free, heads-up workflows with Voice AI - Improve continuity of care with structured shift handoffs - Reduce errors and speed up onboarding with auditable checklists (triage, discharge, bed readiness) so clinicians can focus more on care, less on systems Didn’t realize Teams could support frontline care in all these ways? Kiruthika Selvamani liked thisKiruthika Selvamani liked thisI published a book. 🐍 It's called "Python for Coding Interviews" and it's on Amazon now — Kindle, paperback, and hardcover. The short version of why I wrote it: I've spent 25 years building software and interviewing engineers, and I kept seeing the same thing — really strong developers struggling in Python interviews not because they didn't know the algorithms, but because they were coding like it was Java. Python has tools that make interview solutions faster and cleaner, and most people just don't know they exist. So I wrote it down. If you're preparing for a tech interview or know someone who is — link in the comments. And if you read it, I'd love to hear what you think.

Moving generative AI from experiment to production requires a difficult balance of low latency, high throughput, and manageable costs. To solve this, the Vertex AI team adopted the GKE Inference Gateway to unlocking performance at scale, using two layers of intelligence: - Load-aware routing: Uses real-time metrics to route requests to the fastest available pod. - Content-aware routing: Routes to pods with existing KV cache context to avoid expensive re-computation. 👉 Check out the technical details on the Google Cloud blog: https://lnkd.in/dw5pbztn

With other colleagues at 🍏, Bruno Mlodozeniec has led a great effort over the second half of 2025 to propose a complete(d) parameterisation for NNs that can achieve the promises of *transferring* local hyperparameter search: tune all optimizers' parameters (e.g. LR) *per module* and *depth* using an evolutionary search with small models, and observe how they transfer successfully out of the box to much larger models, to achieve much better performance with less training budget!
