Nice pics!Kevin Pedretti shared thisThis week, we marked an important milestone with the opening of our new organics transfer station at the Sonoma County Central Landfill. The facility will serve more than 185,000 homes and 50,000 businesses, processing approximately 20 tons of organic material per hour. By removing contamination from commercial food waste and converting depackaged material into renewable energy, the facility helps keep organic waste out of the landfill while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This project is the latest addition to our national network of 28 organics facilities, where we process more than 1.1 million tons of organic waste annually. Together with our partners, we’re continuing to scale solutions that deliver real environmental impact for the communities we serve.

I started posting frequently in October 2025 to try and identify what the next big opportunities are for Reworld Waste. I've since met some incredibly cool technology partners, some new waste generators, a ton of awesome brokers and a lot of incredibly intelligent PFAS consultants. This journey has led me to adding 6,700 new followers (thanks for accepting my requests), 1.4M impressions and 430k members reached. You guys rock. Thank you for each like, repost, the discourse in each thread; you have no idea how much that means to me. But outside of waste, who is Doug Rock. I'm born and raised in NJ where I now live with my amazing wife and the funniest two kids. I love working hard, trying new things and eating a ton of desserts as I contemplate when I will start working out. I don't really get Social Media, or understand the clout that comes with it, but I do believe that engagement/followers will be the currency of the future. During the recent #IIEE EXPO 2025, Gram Industrial, Inc. proudly showcased its Automated Hydroponics System, featuring an actual project installed at One Campus Building A in McKinley, BGC. This initiative highlights the importance of Food Safety, demonstrating how automation ensures cleaner, safer, and more consistent produce. The system is powered by Siemens S7-1500 PLC and an HMI panel that displays real-time hydroponic charts—including nutrient flow, water levels, pH, and EC monitoring—giving operators full visibility and control of the growing environment. It also integrates IFM Sensors with IO-Link Master, including a humidity sensor, level, temp and PH meter backed by a 5-year warranty, ensuring accurate data collection and stable environmental conditions. These sensors help automate critical steps such as nutrient dosing, water circulation, and climate control. How the process works: Clean water and nutrient solution circulate through the hydroponic beds, monitored continuously by IFM sensors. The Siemens PLC processes all sensor data and automatically adjusts pumps, valves, misting and environmental parameters.
