Kelly Kaufman shared thisDiving deeper into Climate Tech and helping build out the field marketing program at Gravity has been such a great experience. Gravity truly has a best-in-class product backed by the most amazing team. We just wrapped #GreenBiz26 and it was inspiring to see where corporate sustainability is heading. Kelly Kaufman reposted thisNot been super active on LinkedIn as of late (sometimes when there are too many fun things going on you have to pick your battles). But I wouldn't want miss the opportunity to sing Kelly Kaufman's praises to my LinkedIn Network. During NY Climate Week Sylvera organized Carbon Market Summit - first of its sort and a raving success in bringing some of the sharpest minds of carbon markets together. All of this wouldn't have been possible without Kartik Krishnan and Lucía C. and all the other people at Sylvera who worked day and night to make this event happen - but equally without Kelly this event wouldn't have been the success it was, as she came onboard to take something that was an idea in our heads and turn it into a fantastic reality with her eye for detail, strategic concept understanding and fantastic network of suppliers. If you are looking for someone to help guide event strategy and execution on a fractional basis or for a key project, Kelly is a superstar ⭐Kelly Kaufman reposted thisThat wraps up our #ClimateWeekNYC at Sylvera, and what an exciting one it was! 🌍✨ From thought-provoking discussions on carbon markets to connecting with industry leaders driving real climate action, we’re more inspired than ever to keep pushing forward. A huge thank you to everyone who attended the 2024 edition of our Carbon Markets Summit, engaged with us and shared their insights on advancing the path to Net Zero. #NYCW #ClimateAction #NetZero #CMS2024

Kelly Kaufman shared thisSo grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Sylvera team on their 2024 Carbon Markets Summit during #ClimateWeekNYC. We took a blank space in Midtown New York and converted it into an inspiring venue for panel discussions and networking on the future of carbon markets and climate action.Kelly Kaufman shared thisThat wraps up our #ClimateWeekNYC at Sylvera, and what an exciting one it was! 🌍✨ From thought-provoking discussions on carbon markets to connecting with industry leaders driving real climate action, we’re more inspired than ever to keep pushing forward. Kelly Kaufman shared thisI don’t share a lot on Linkedin, but wanted to reach out to my network as I am going through a career transition and want to share what I am up to next. I’m sharing a bit of background as I think it may resonate with some working parents who may be feeling similar. 2 years ago, I became a Mom for the first time and was excited to take on the challenge of balancing my career with Mom life. After a year and a half at an amazing new job, I realized the demands of a full time job in the startup world, compounded by work travel, was not allowing me to be present mentally and physically with my daughter. A few weeks ago, I left my job to realign with my goals as a mother and a professional. While I reset, I am taking on freelance field marketing and event marketing work. As a B2B event lead at numerous startups, I found that the gap between my team's time, internal resources and the role event agencies could fill left me needing more support, which has inspired me to start working as a fractional event marketer. My focus will be on working with founders, marketing leaders or event marketers as an additional resource to their marketing team, focusing on: - Developing strategy and producing owned events from roundtables to user conferences - Determining trade show sponsorship approach and executing sponsorship activations - Creating a system for tracking and measuring event marketing efforts 💰 Bonus points for companies in payments, fintech and crypto Please reach out if you want to re-connect, talk Mom and career life or if you are looking for support in these areas.

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisOne of the hardest things is putting into words how good the Gravity Climate Strategy team is, I think you really have to experience it to understand it. I can talk about our platform. I can walk through the methodology, the audit results, the roadmap. But the thing that makes Gravity different is harder to describe from the outside. It is how our people show up once you are a customer. Our most recent customer satisfaction score came in at 97.9%. For context, anything in the 80% range is considered strong. As an Account Executive, I am grateful to work alongside people this good and that I can have confidence that we will deliver above and beyond. Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisBehind every payment is a person. Kimling Lam of Fortis shares why the best payment experiences aren't just about technology - they're about removing friction for the people using it every day. Whether it's embedded payments or B2B software, simplifying the customer experience is what ultimately builds trust and drives growth. Link: https://lnkd.in/g3ege9Vr #payments #fintech

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisAs AI becomes more deeply embedded in payments, marketing, and nearly every part of business, it is easy to assume the future will become less human. Kimling Lam, Chief Marketing Officer at Fortis, sees it differently. In the latest episode of our Women Leaders in Payments Month series sponsored by Payroc, Kimling explains why human judgment, language, creativity, and cognition are still at the center of the technology being built around us. We also discussed her journey from broadcast journalism to payments leadership, how marketers are evolving from everyday creators into orchestrators of AI-enabled workflows, and why technology should always remain an enabler of a better customer experience. One of my favorite parts of the conversation was Kimling’s perspective on leadership. Early in our careers, many of us believe success comes from being the person who steps in and gets everything done. But, as Kimling shared, “heroics alone are not scalable.” Great leadership is about creating a strategy people believe in, building a team around a shared mission, and helping others do their best work. Her advice to the next generation was equally important: stay curious, ask clarifying questions, actively seek coaching, and never wait passively for opportunities to find you. Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisWe've had a great time hosting sustainability leaders from across the country for our Sustainability Supper Club dinner series in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco 🍽️. At venues like Lazy Bear and Marisol at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, we brought together leaders spanning utilities, construction, CPG, retail, private equity, and more. Scope 3, regulation, and the challenges facing sustainability leaders were frequent topics of conversation, but it was the career stories and unexpected paths into this work that made the evenings feel special. Thank you to everyone who joined us around the table this season! We're looking forward to our next stops this summer.

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisJust back from Milan. 🇮🇹 35 degrees outside and the same heat in the room. PayPal Beyond brought together merchants and partners at Palazzina Appiani for the first stop of our European tour. The content delivered: → BNPL in practice, with WeRoad, @Hostinato and Subito sharing what actually drives growth → AI panel with lastminute.com , PhotoSì and @BixAway, real use cases not theory → Our Agentic Commerce Pulse Survey results, shared in Italy for the first time Italy's ecommerce is growing fast. What I heard from the merchants in that room confirms it. The question is no longer whether AI will change commerce. It's whether you're ready when it does. Thank you Vanina Acqualagna and the full Italian team for an exceptional event. And hats down once again to our the amazing Dorota Michael Angelica Moro Tyffani Robb and Francesca Grande 🙌 #PayPalBeyond #AgenticCommerce #Italy #Ecommerce

Kelly Kaufman reacted on thisKelly Kaufman reacted on this🚀 Day one. Let's go! 🚀 The official kickoff for the first MasterClass Executive just wrapped. We're in, we're briefed, we're unleashed. A look at this global AI-native leadership MBA certificate program: 29k applicants 705 participants 16+ years of experience on average 495 unique organizations Regional groups spanning North America, South America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific, Australia & New Zealand Driven by the core values of respect, curiosity, generosity, safety, thinking differently and acting together Massive hat tip to MasterClass and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business for this visionary approach to learning. And a sincere thank you to David Rogier and the full MCX team, Dean Madhav Rajan and his staff and partners at Booth. It's fair to say I'm honored, inspired, a bit intimidated and productively nervous. An ideal combination to build on.

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisFor sustainability people, margin structure is destiny. What do I mean by that? Part of doing well to do good is knowing which story your company is built to hear. Last week during the Trellis Group conference, we took a dozen customers and prospects to Lazy Bear. Over dinner, we talked about provenance: what things are made of, where they come from, and who touched them. That’s true in wine and food. Increasingly, sustainability is about provenance at scale: knowing where value flows through a business. Sitting next to me was a director of sustainability at a public utility. She told me how important it was to deliver bottom-line value to the business as a way to earn more resources. In one initiative, she found seven figures of savings in waste contracts, then used that success to make the case for multiple FTEs the following year. What struck me was why that story worked so well. Utilities are fixed-margin, regulated monopolies. Savings accrue very directly to the bottom line. In high-growth, higher-margin industries like technology, cost savings are often less compelling because the bottleneck isn’t cost. It’s growth. Part of doing well to do good is knowing which story to pursue to align the company. Sometimes that story is cost savings. Sometimes it’s growth, risk, resilience, compliance, customer trust, or operational excellence. Margin structure determines which story will be most compelling. I hadn’t heard it put so neatly before. (And congrats to Lazy Bear. We found out while we were there that they had retained both of their Michelin stars. Thanks for having us!)

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisAnother London Climate Action Week in the books. 700+ events, the climate community in town during a heatwave (the irony wasn't lost on anyone), and some genuinely good conversations. Highlight of the week was hosting our own World Cup watch party which was a relaxed, and social event, and a perfect antidote to a week of panels and speakers. The football wasn't a classic (0-0 doesn't lie) but the company was brilliant. England v DR Congo tomorrow and lets see if they can last another week! The dominant theme on the ground was execution! most teams are deep in the messy middle of fixing data quality and getting Scope 3 under control. Interestingly, a fair few are quietly stuck in AI paralysis, looking for that silver bullet to solve their carbon and Scope 3 challenges autonomously within the year. AI native tools like Gravity bring the expertise, transparency, and auditability needed whilst deploying AI across functions to drive the ROI and value creation that large orgs are looking to achieve. Looking forward to following up with everyone over the summer.

Kelly Kaufman liked thisKelly Kaufman liked thisChange. Shit, there’s a lot of it. I, like so many, have been swimming in it. Some days gasping and flailing, afraid of drowning in it. So I reached for the thing I still hold to be unquestionably true and real: making. Something to give shape to this time. Something to remind us of our capability, and connect us with each other. Something to keep us afloat as we push on. That’s West x Northeast, a collection of perspectives on navigating change (launching today on Substack). This project aims to spotlight and celebrate what humans do in moments of uncertainty. Because, in essence, it’s what we are. Products of change. My first conversation is with Lauren Celenza, a software designer and writer focused on the often-fraught relationship between people and technology. Her perspective is both timely and timeless, deeply personal and ubiquitous, keenly articulated and an iceberg of the unspoken. Go for a walk or a drive, sit someplace quiet, multi-task if that’s your thing, but spend some time with Lauren. Listen to her voice and hear her words. It’s a noisy world. This is an antidote. Most leaders are measuring behavior. Clicks. Conversions. CAC. Funnel velocity. And then they wonder why performance plateaus. Behavior tells you what happened. It almost never tells you why. Over the last 15 years, my team at CULT has studied what actually drives customer choice and loyalty. Not surface-level feedback. Not dashboard metrics. The attitudes behind preference. The expectations behind repeat purchase. The emotional signals that determine value. When brands align experience with those drivers, performance changes. For example, we worked with a B2B brand losing traffic despite publishing 300+ blog posts. We aligned their content with what customers actually valued. Six months later: 150,000 monthly organic visitors and $233K in monthly traffic value. Not because of a new channel. Because value, visibility, and experience were finally aligned. Growth rarely breaks at the surface. It leaks underneath. Where do you think your biggest growth leak actually lives right now?

Why scaling feels heavier instead of lighter: This hits a nerve because no founder scales to feel more trapped. Yet that is exactly what happens when complexity is left unchecked If scale feels heavier, complexity is winning. Most founders do not notice it until decisions start taking meetings. #scalingecommerce #founderdecisions #opsclarity #Shopify #Ecommerce2026 #AICommerce #FounderReality #DigitalTrust #AgenticAI #USA #NorthAmerica #Canada #Australia #UnitedKingdom #UAE #CommerceInfrastructure #EcommerceLeadership #AIShopping #OperationalExcellence
