Jonathan Peckham shared thisAI is arguably the most impactful leverage point for your business. The clients we work with that have leaned into AI are outpacing their competitors. If you are an executive in the Utah area, I highly recommend you join this training.Jonathan Peckham shared thisI’ve had a lot of CEOs tell me some version of the same thing lately. They feel behind on AI. I get it. I never wanted to be in the “training” business. But increasingly I see that the main obstacle to our clients ability to automate their businesses is the executives themselves. They haven’t seen firsthand what AI is now capable of. Or they still use it like search. And so they aren’t making great decisions around AI, because its all delegated to their teams and they are hearing things second hand or being pushed by vendors into tools they don’t need. On April 14th, I’m opening up my personal processes — the exact way I use AI to run faster, think clearer, and get back hours in my week — to a small group of executives who want to actually learn it themselves. This is specific to executive workflow. And you shouldn’t sign up unless you are ready to be hands on all day building and learning how to do this yourself. 15 people. Lehi, Utah. Actual work together all day. $197. Lunch included so you can stay locked in. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to actually get your hands on this — this is it. Jonathan Peckham shared thisThis one was long overdue. Over the past year and a half, I've been deeply involved in Salesforce implementations featuring OmniStudio, and I've been thoroughly impressed by its power and versatility. Yet, the majority of people I meet in the Salesforce ecosystem have never heard about the tool! Public Service Announcement: OmniStudio is a game-changer for industry-specific solutions (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, Communications Cloud). It’s included with CPQ+ licenses and can also be purchased as an add-on. If you’re unfamiliar with OmniStudio, here’s what you’re missing: Imagine fully custom record pages that break free from the constraints of standard Salesforce components. Imagine integrating third-party data directly in Salesforce, without a single line of code. Imagine leveraging that third-party data in complex workflows, dynamic forms, and multi-step wizards. Now, picture delivering those experiences directly to your customers, without the need for an Experience Cloud site (this is a huge money saver). OmniStudio does all this and more. What’s equally impressive is the speed at which these solutions can be built. As an implementation partner, speed of development is a massive advantage for our clients. What’s been your experience with OmniStudio, or is this your first time hearing about it? Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in learning more about it.

The cofounders have done almost 2,000 demos of their product which ended up closed lost, many with a loss reason of "this is great, but we don't know how to actually incorporate this into our motion." Implementation is that last mile thing, where you stitch everything together so you can actually get value out of it. That is all.

Jonathan Peckham liked thisJonathan Peckham liked thisThe new deck is officially usable up top and mostly finished. Underneath is still a work in progress. Since this deck is quite a bit larger than the old one, we had to expand the patio below too. So now we are in the very glamorous phase of forms, gravel, concrete prep, and wondering how many projects can somehow turn into three more projects. But it is starting to feel real. The old deck was a piece of junk. This one already feels like it is going to change how we use the house. More space up top. More space underneath. Better view. Better place to have people over. Still a few steps left before it feels completely done, but it is fun watching the picture in our heads start turning into an actual place.

Devyn is an absolute wizard when it comes to complex enterprise CPQ implementations, down to the nittiest of gritties about the code and APIs powering that tool and how to optimize performance. He's the guy everyone turns to when things get complex, and no matter how difficult the obstacle, he finds a way to get the job done. Jonathan Peckham liked thisJonathan Peckham liked thisI joined Strategic Coach this year and have been working on implementing some of what I learned in the first workshop. For those who are not familiar, Strategic Coach is built around Dan Sullivan’s work. He is behind ideas from books like The Gap and the Gain, Who Not How, and 10X Is Easier Than 2X. At the first workshop, we spent a lot of time on how to structure your week to reduce switching costs and create more focus for the work that matters. Going in, I assumed the most valuable part would be getting better at work. Ironically, the bigger realization was how ineffective I had become outside of work. Especially at protecting free time in a way that let me actually enjoy it, pursue my passions, and disconnect. One example they gave for a true free day was not even reading business books. That hit me harder than I expected. I realized how many subtle ways I let work leak into the rest of my life. So I have been reading more fiction recently. Right now I am working through the Red Rising series and absolutely loving it. It has been good for me to remember that rest does not always need to be productive. Sometimes it just needs to be restorative. What are your favorite fiction books?

Most #Salesforce challenges don’t come from the platform. They come from how data is interpreted. I’ve seen orgs where: • reports were accurate • #CPQ logic worked • dashboards looked clean Yet leadership still asked: “Why is performance dipping?” “Why don’t these numbers align?” That’s where analytics changes the conversation. Salesforce shows what happened. Power BI explains why it happened - across #CRM, #CPQ, and finance views. In real projects: → #Conga handles calculations → Salesforce executes processes → #PowerBI connects the dots The real lesson? #Dashboards don’t create value - Decisions do. And when CRM execution is paired with analytics thinking, clarity replaces guesswork. #CongaCPQ #CRMAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #RealWorldExperience

Calvin Osborn — if your Salesforce org isn’t clean, your GTM systems will always struggle. That includes redundant workflows, overly complex flows, and excessive or unused fields. When the foundation is cluttered, every next step — especially automation — becomes harder to scale, less reliable, and ultimately slows down revenue operations. To truly enable automation and actionable insights, you need a clean, well-architected process that ensures data moves seamlessly and accurately across systems — from Marketing to Sales to Customer Success. Without that alignment, inefficiency compounds, visibility drops, and GTM performance suffers. A clean Salesforce org isn’t just operational hygiene — it’s a competitive advantage. It drives scalable automation, empowers your teams with trusted data, and creates the foundation for predictable growth.

Why Your Salesforce Org Feels Slow, Expensive & Hard to Change CFOs and COOs often face rising Salesforce license costs, paying for unused features, slow sales cycles, and service teams drowning in manual work. Without a clear roadmap, low adoption across teams keeps Salesforce from delivering the ROI your business expects. I have been getting a lot of questions regarding the recent Salesforce article and email about "Changes to Device Activation for Single Sign-On (SSO)." Here is the breakdown of what changed and how to eliminate those extra verification steps for your users. The Change: Salesforce has tightened its security logic. Even with a successful SSO login, if the device is unrecognized and your Identity Provider (IdP) doesn't explicitly signal that strong authentication (MFA) was performed, Salesforce will now intervene. This triggers a ‘Device Activation’ prompt (email/SMS), creating another step for users who expect a seamless login. The Fix: To prevent these interruptions, Admins need to prove to Salesforce that the login is secure. You can do this by checking/updating two configurations: -- Establish Network Trust: Ensure your organization’s IP ranges are listed under Network Access in Setup (or is listed in the allowed IP ranges in users Profiles). This tells Salesforce the login is originating from a safe location, which usually bypasses secondary challenges. -- Configure High Assurance Claims: Check that your IdP is sending the specific Multi-Factor Authentication signals Salesforce recognizes (SAML ‘AuthnContext’ or OIDC ‘amr’ values). This confirms that your IdP has already handled the security check so Salesforce doesn't have to. Full Article: https://lnkd.in/e_BVFh_n

Phase 2: BC Integration to Salesforce We’ve moved into Phase 2 of our Business Central (BC) to Salesforce integration project. Phase 1 established the core foundation — integrating customers (accounts), contacts, sales quotes, and sales orders. This allowed Salesforce to manage customer communications for pending quotes, order readiness, and more. Phase 2 takes it further by adding: -Posted Sales Invoices -Posted Sales Credit Memos -Customer Ledger Entries With this enhancement, Salesforce now will hold all collections and aging information, enabling it to fully own communication with customers around payments and balances. Technical Update: For the integration, the Azure stack was chosen as the middleware. While a direct BC-to-Salesforce connection could work, it would cause BC to fail transactions immediately in case of a Salesforce issue and also slowing down BC processing. By using Azure: - BC sends transactions with basically 100% success, - Azure handles delivery to Salesforce asynchronously, - When there are issues in Azure, it will now email us automatically on any failed transfers. We’ve improved error handling for these rare issues — mainly due to Salesforce connectivity or BLOB storage when sending PDF files. When Azure retries can’t resolve the issue, an email is sent out, and then we are able to handle and resend from BC. This project enables our client to more fully leverage the Salesforce capabilities, while keeping the BC processing simple and efficient.

The 3C Law that dictates whether your Salesforce investment succeeds or fails: After analyzing 1,000+ Salesforce implementations over 10 years, I've identified the core principle that separates wildly successful orgs from the rest. It's not about features, budget, or even team size. It's the 3C Law: Consistency, Cleanliness, Clarity. Here's why it matters: • Organizations that prioritize the 3Cs see 4X higher adoption rates and 65% fewer data quality issues than those chasing the newest features • 78% of failed Salesforce initiatives violated at least two of the 3Cs Let me break down each C: 𝟭. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 Standardize processes and interfaces across your org. When users encounter predictable patterns, they develop trust in the system. Implement: Create a UI style guide that governs page layouts, required fields, and process flows. 𝟮. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 Maintain pristine data quality through validation rules, deduplication, and regular audits. Dirty data costs the average company 15-25% of revenue. Implement: Establish a governance framework with designated data stewards and weekly quality checks. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 Ensure every field, report, and dashboard answers a specific business question. Ruthlessly eliminate anything that doesn't directly support decision-making. Implement: Apply the one-minute test—users should understand any dashboard's purpose within 60 seconds. Consistency builds trust. Cleanliness ensures accuracy. Clarity drives decisions. These principles aren't sexy, but they're the foundation of every successful Salesforce org I've ever seen.
