Jonathan Sargent reposted thisJonathan Sargent reposted thisBeauty has always been the heart of the human experience. Once, we built temples. We created magnificent art, we raised cathedrals and cities that would survive centuries. We poured craftsmanship into objects and systems because beauty makes us better humans. Through beauty, we create dignity, and we raise the bar of what people expect from the world. Healthcare, somehow, opted out. The U.S. healthcare system has normalized friction and confusion at the moment when people are most vulnerable. It has trained everyone to accept an ethos of good enough. That’s just how it works, right? Be grateful you got anything at all. Jeremy Gurewitz and I refute that premise. Solace is built on the belief that the way care feels determines whether people follow through, whether they trust, and whether they get better. And now, we announce Solace's $130M Series C. Advocacy isn’t a nice-to-have or a privilege for those who can afford bespoke care. We’re building a system where patients don’t have to earn transparency. We have conviction that the systems that touch humans lives should be built with the same rigor and mastery we bring to things that are meant to survive centuries. Deep gratitude to IVP for leading this round, and to Menlo Ventures, SignalFire, Torch Capital, Inspired Capital and RiverPark Ventures for continuing to back a higher standard of care for patients and families. And to the entire Solace team—I’m so grateful for everyone who has chosen to make this mission theirs. Choosing to build here matters. The bar is high, and the room you’re in is rare. Jeremy and I started Solace with the same intolerance for failure. Every day, we light the fire and make sure what we build is worthy of the patients who trust us with their lives. Solace is exacting and beautiful under pressure, and that momentum is how we forge meaningful impact. At Solace, we will never be the least bad option. We will simply be the best.

Jonathan Sargent reposted thisJonathan Sargent reposted thisSeries B Solace will be truly a sight to behold. I am so very pleased and honored to share our $60M Series B, led by Jean-Paul (J.P.) Sanday and Menlo Ventures. As a founder, this moment is electric—energy to be savored, and harnessed. We’ve come so far, and yet, there is so much more to discover. So many problems yet untouched. As a product leader, it’s something magnificent to say that the product Solace is today is the product Jeremy Gurewitz and I have been building toward since inception. From day one, it’s been our vision to build a healthcare experience unlike any other—a product that harnesses the power of human connection to transform lives. With ferocity, we’re getting there. Solace exists to empower every American who has ever struggled to get care from their healthcare. Our mission at Solace of connecting every patient with an advocate, of delivering hope in healthcare, is something that requires passion, focus, and continual momentum. The outcomes we hear from patients are heartrending and humbling. The raw need for advocacy has been astonishing in its voracity. Inspirational doesn’t even begin to cut it. This latest round is our promise that we’re here to do great things. To create immense value in the lives of every individual and family who has ever needed more from the healthcare system. To create a future where advocacy is the new standard of care for American healthcare. Immense gratitude also to Bryan Rosenblatt and Jeff Fluhr at Craft Ventures and to Katie Reiner Peykar and Allie Molner at Torch Capital for seeing the vision in the early days, to Alexa von Tobel and Charlotte Ross at Inspired Capital for being the incredible partners we needed for our Series A, and to Wayne Hu and SignalFire for joining us for the next phase of Solace. Lastly, the company you build is the people you bring on, and I’m obsessed with the aggressively passionate team of hands-on executors who have joined us on this mission. If you’re up for the challenge of a lifetime, we’re hiring. What a momentous journey this has been—and we’re still just getting started.

Time is our only non-recoverable asset, and I’m happy to have a consistent dose of it with my little family this summer. ✌️

Until recently, I had viewed my social media presence (think Instagram and TikTok) as separate from my professional career. Turns out, there is some overlap. While I promise not to flood your feed with TikToks, I do want to celebrate this unique overlap between my personal passion for sports and professional journey as a creative and graphic designer. I’m excited to share a few more images of the tickets highlighted in the article—because, honestly, I’m proud of this moment. Thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way and here’s to more unexpected intersections between what we do and what we love! If you haven’t already read the story and would like to, you can read it here! https://lnkd.in/eVuQuemH #graphicdesigner #socialmedia

While it felt easy to lead a parish in song, it was immensely difficult to discern how to lead my family in the same way. Now, years later, I'm blessed to announce the publishing of a book with Word on Fire entitled “Musica Domestica”, a two-volume project — co-written with author David Clayton — that leads the domestic church in sung prayer through hymns, chants, folk songs, praise songs, and the practice of singing the psalms with Gregorian tones (in English!). I spent the last week with my The Vigil Project colleagues and David recording a host of video and audio resources to accompany the book release and make it easy and inspiring for families to come together to sing as part of their daily lives. The book and recordings will be released in November 2026 with Word on Fire, but now that you know about this EARLY, I ask you to share this post and spread the word to Catholic families! They can get notified of its release here: https://lnkd.in/g2ZsNGyq I'm excited for this book to bless many homes, in the same way as it's already blessed my own home and family. ___ PS. I have so much gratitude to the many who contributed their time and talents to this project last week: Grant Reddoch, Ben Frederick, Tyler Neil, Andrew Ferguson, Sophie Salopek, David Clayton, Margarita, Greg Boudreaux, Katie & JT, Lucy, Luke, Aiden, and many more! DAV’s no-cost programs support more than 1 million of these veterans a year." Says our Co-Founder, Jeremy Gurewitz. Through this partnership, Solace advocates will step in to help schedule appointments, explain benefits, coordinate care among providers, and manage administrative burdens with private health care systems, thereby allowing veterans and their families to focus on health and recovery. We’re honored to stand alongside an organization that has spent decades holding the system accountable to the people who served our country.

Jonathan Sargent liked thisJonathan Sargent liked thisAfter eight years at Indeed, my role was eliminated due to shifting organizational priorities. The news was unexpected, and I’m still processing the end of that chapter. Still, I’m deeply grateful for the work I got to do, the skills I built, and most importantly, the people I learned from and met along the way. During my time at Indeed, I found purpose and meaning in work at the intersection of strategy, systems, and execution, helping teams turn big ideas into forward progress. I partnered closely with leaders and stakeholders to bring clarity to complex problems and build the processes and technical foundations that helped teams move from vision to action. I’m now exploring what’s next and open to opportunities in: - Chief of Staff - Business Operations - Product Operations - Roles partnering closely with technical and business teams to drive meaningful outcomes I bring a pragmatic, execution-focused approach to helping leadership teams align priorities, navigate change, and move work from idea to impact. I’m open to roles in San Antonio or remote. If you have advice, leads, or connections you’re willing to share, I’d truly appreciate it. And to my former colleagues and mentors at Indeed (of which there are too many to list), thank you again for shaping my career in ways I’ll carry forward.

The most underrated part of engineering isn’t tools, it’s consistency. I recently met a Senior Staff QA/Automation Engineer who has stayed hands-on for 25+ years because solving problems and shipping reliable software still matters to him. He’s not chasing titles or meetings. He’s writing automation, fixing issues, and making systems work. At Synopsys/Blackduck, he’s spent over a decade building automation frameworks with Cypress, Selenium, Java, JavaScript, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes. Before that, he was trusted to build test automation from scratch at companies with no established processes, creating solutions that later became industry standard. He focuses on reliability and doing things right, not buzzwords. If your team needs a senior individual contributor who actually delivers quality, I can make an introduction. #AutomationTesting #EngineeringLeadership #SDET #QualityAssurance
