John Crowther shared thisI just joined the great team here at OneSignal. This leadership role on the Product Engineering team is a excellent opportunity to join us at a really interesting inflection point in our journey. I echo George's comments too on the focus on collaboration across Product, Design, and Engineering.John Crowther shared thisOneSignal is growing fast! -- We just opened a leadership role for our Product Engineering team. John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisToday is my first day back at work after maternity leave. I'm coming back with a 3-month-old at home, strong opinions about naps, and something I didn't have when I left: an app I built and shipped from scratch. It's called NapMap. 🌙 It started selfishly, like a lot of new-parent projects do. I had to learn very quickly that newborn sleep runs on "wake windows," which is how long a baby can comfortably stay awake before the next nap, and those windows keep changing as the baby grows. I was constantly doing that math in my head, and getting it wrong a lot. Math is hard even without sleep deprivation. So I built the thing I wished existed. You enter the morning wake-up and your baby's ideal bedtime, log naps with one thumb as they happen, and the app keeps recalculating the next nap from age-appropriate wake windows while protecting bedtime. What started as a calculator turned into a real product. - It re-fits the whole day every time you log a nap so the last window still lands on bedtime. - It learns your baby's actual rhythm from the past couple of weeks instead of just trusting the averages. - It grows & adjusts the number of naps and length of wake windows as your baby grows. - It works offline, because a tap needs to succeed at 3am when your router is updating and sync later. - It handles travel and timezones. - You can share it with other caregivers, and download it from the App Store. I'm proud of this app. But the bigger thing was what the leave itself taught me. I built this using Claude Code, mostly on my phone, in 20-minute windows while exhausted and usually holding my baby with one arm. Turns out that's a pretty good way to ruthlessly prioritize and ship. If you have a little one and a calendar full of nap guesswork, I'd love for you to try it: https://lnkd.in/exK_V2fa And if you're a new parent reading this between feeds, you're doing great. 💛

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisI've now sat on every side of a pricing decision. The buyer trying to stop margin from leaking. The team putting the software to work. The seller in the room when it gets bought. I've joined Vendavo as a Strategic Account Executive. I've been the one with the budget, unsure the tools would deliver. The one in the room when a pricing change either stuck or quietly died a few months after launch. And for the last several years, the one working with manufacturers and distributors on that same problem from the sell side. Here's what I've watched across all three seats. The best pricing software in the world still needs people to trust it. The transformations that hold are the ones where leaders build the right habits around the decisions, and teams use the guidance instead of overriding it every time. Get the tool right and the adoption right, and it sticks. That's the work I get to keep doing, and I'm glad to be back in it. If you're wrestling with margin, getting pricing to stick, or just figuring out what makes a transformation hold, I'd like to hear what you're seeing. My inbox is open.

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisI'm thrilled to announce that I've joined Fonoa, where I'll be focused on building out our Sales team on the West Coast and growing our San Francisco presence. The timing couldn't be better. Last week, Fonoa announced a $110M Series C led by Headline, alongside the acquisition of PwC's Indirect Tax Edge platform. Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/gX8FSegw Tax is one of the last major financial systems without a true system of record. Fonoa is building the infrastructure to change that, combining real time tax determination, e-invoicing, compliance, and returns into one unified platform that global businesses can actually rely on at scale. What drew me here was simple. A category defining product with proven product market fit, a world class team, and the capital and conviction to go execute on a massive global opportunity. An attestation of the rigor of the team and the vision to match. I can't wait to get started. I'm grateful for the trust and support of Shane Kent, Davor Tremac, Filip Sturman, Kristen Souki, and Rob Hill. Energized to work alongside a team that has built something genuinely special from the ground up, scaled it across 190+ countries, and is still moving with the urgency of a company that knows the best is ahead. We're hiring. If you're an enterprise AE in the Bay Area who has a hunter mentality, thrives in a high growth environment, and wants to be part of something special, send me or Brittany Washington a DM. Let's get to work! 🚀Fonoa Raises $110M and Acquires PwC's Indirect Tax Edge | Fonoa | BlogFonoa Raises $110M and Acquires PwC's Indirect Tax Edge | Fonoa | Blog

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisI'm excited to share that I've joined Apollo as Head of EMEA Sales. Businesses across EMEA are fundamentally rethinking how they go to market and the question of how AI reshapes GTM is being answered in real time. The companies that move with conviction on this will define the next era of B2B growth. Apollo is positioned to lead that shift. The combination of a best-in-class data platform, deep workflow integration, and a clear vision for the agentic future of GTM is rare. I've seen the impact first-hand as a former user. Apollo changed how I thought about unifying data, segmentation, and outreach into a single, intelligent motion. From my first conversations with the team, two things stood out: the clarity of the vision and the pace of execution. EMEA represents a significant and largely untapped opportunity for Apollo as the business scales internationally. Building the motion, with the right team and the right product, is the challenge I came here to take on. Grateful to Max Angell, Adam Carr, Matt Curl, and the Apollo.io team for the opportunity. 🚀

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisWe’ve been building a lot around AI at OneSignal lately, and it’s exciting to start sharing more of it. We recently launched our MCP server in open beta, and rolled out OneSignal AI through our early access program, an embedded AI assistant directly in the product. The goal isn’t AI for the sake of AI. It’s making customer engagement workflows dramatically faster, easier, and more context-aware. You can explore analytics, build campaigns, generate content, troubleshoot Journeys, and orchestrate messaging directly from AI-native tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Copilot, or inside OneSignal itself. We’re already seeing customers connect workflows across tools, data sources, internal systems, and AI agents to automate and coordinate customer engagement in ways that weren’t really possible before. What’s been most fun is how quickly this space is evolving. We’re shipping fast, working closely with a set of design partners, and learning a ton in real time. Learn more 👉 https://lnkd.in/edJrm-Rb

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked this🎉 Proud to share that OneSignal has been named one of Inc's Best Workplaces...again! 🙌 As a People Leader, recognitions like this are especially meaningful because they're a reflection of the employee experience we've built together. The work we do is important, but HOW we do it is equally as important -- and awards like this recognize that. Every day, I get to see people who care deeply about our customers, support one another, embrace challenges and startup ambiguity, and continuously raise the bar. That's the culture that makes OneSignal a great place to work. I'm incredibly proud to help shape an environment where people can grow their careers, make an impact, and bring their authentic selves to work. And I still find it so fitting that this announcement comes during Pride Month each year, because building an inclusive workplace where everyone can bring their authentic self to work every day isn’t just important, it’s core to who we are. Congratulations to the entire OneSignal team on this well-deserved recognition. Excited for what's ahead. 🚀 #BestWorkplaces #IncBestWorkplaces #OneSignal #People #CompanyCulture

John Crowther liked thisJohn Crowther liked thisToday marks my last day at OneSignal after ~7.5 years. I joined OneSignal from a different industry. No SaaS background, no network, just an obsessive work ethic and a conviction that I could outwork anyone in the room. What followed was one of the most formative chapters of my life. I grew from an IC into a leader responsible for teams across North America, LATAM, and APAC. I learned what it means to build something that lasts, to develop people into leaders, and to compete at the highest level of B2B sales. None of that happens without the right leaders. Garrick Jang, Josh Wetzel, Matt Foley, thank you for your mentorship, trust, and shaping the leader I am today. George Deglin and Long Vo, thank you for building something I'm genuinely proud to have been a part of. To the broader OneSignal family, it has been an honor. OneSignal has an exceptional product, an incredible team, and the best days are still ahead. I'll be watching closely from the sidelines. Exciting news to follow next week!

In 1832, competing London banks solved a problem that had nothing to do with accounting, and everything to do with building an "architecture for trust" between rivals. As AI agents prepare to negotiate across organizational boundaries, we face a strikingly similar challenge. Honored that @Fortune chose to feature the work Salesforce’s President & Chief Legal Officer Sabastian Niles and I have been doing together on this topic. Agent-to-agent trust architecture sits right at the intersection of AI research and law. With its focus on #EnterpriseAI, Salesforce is poised to solve this challenge, and Fortune recognized why that matters now. Read more: https://bit.ly/4spc27e #EnterpriseAI
