I co-developed the narrative concept and script in collaboration with a creative director and led the project from the client side, partnering with an animation studio to bring the story to life.

The campaign addressed a key insight: girls stop fishing at higher rates than boys and often feel excluded from outdoor recreation experiences.

The film follows a woman who reconnects with fishing after drifting away from it in adulthood. Through a renewed bond with her father, and later by introducing her own daughter to the water, fishing becomes a multi-generational tradition that celebrates family, belonging, and time outdoors.

Released around Father’s Day, the piece served as a nationwide invitation for families to reconnect through fishing and boating.

Recognized for the “Find Your Best Self on the Water” integrated marketing campaign developed while serving as Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications at the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation.

The campaign addressed a long-standing challenge: although fishing is one of America’s oldest pastimes, women have historically felt excluded from the sport. Research showed that women who fish report higher levels of confidence, happiness, and overall wellbeing.

The campaign positioned fishing as a pathway to personal empowerment, juxtaposing young women and girls fishing with moments of confidence and success in their everyday lives.

Through strategic media partnerships, the campaign reached a broad national audience across social, streaming, and editorial platforms, including collaborations with major publishers such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Essence, and Forbes. Influencers and creators documented their own fishing experiences, while actress Ellie Kemper shared her first fishing trip through a special editorial feature.

The campaign generated nearly 2 million social engagements and contributed to a 3% increase in female fishing participation nationwide, bringing 1.7 million new women anglers into the sport.
